Latest reviews for CAMPING LA VENTOUSE
Pros: A lovely location, quite good pitches. Well covered by mature trees, good walking distance to town and amenities.Would be a much higher review except for the small pool. This was made much worse because the pool attendant isn’t interested in making sure the pool rules (no ballgames, no inflatables) are followed. Which means the large group of teens playing ball games and with an inflatable in the pool so that no one else could really use it. With small children too scared to go in the water, and other swimmers getting hit by balls or shoved in the pool.Other cons: not enough toilets or showers in the block near the pool. It’s always busy with queues. Not very clean either.
Stayed for 4 nights in June. Difficult to find a pitch suitable for our large outfit. The best thing I can say about it is it is very French, which we like. The onsite bar/restaurant is excellent, as is the Epicerie. Sadly, in June the latter is only open at weekends but bread and croissants are available at the Port de Plaisance, just 5 minutes walk away.
The smiling staff were great. So welcoming.Site is lovely and unusual in a wooded area.Beautiful clean pool.Harbour close by and alsoShops all you need . Both within 10 min walk.We also met a lovely couple from Weymouth! Sadly they went after one night..We ate in sloop by the harbour was amazing.
This site is perfectly situated a walkable distance to the village beach and harbour, that and the friendly staff is why I have given 3 stars. Because the toilet and shower facilities thatwere open, were dark and gloomy and a bit shabby the showers were small, it all looked very tired and dated. The washing and washing up block were up a hill on a gravel/sand track that lead to smooth tiles that were slippery and dirty because it had rained, why no proper path? If you stood on plastic Matt outside on your way out it would slip away if you were not careful, I don't like to leave negative reviews and not helped by this site being listed by ACSI But not actually being an ACSI site . To be fair the camp does not say it is ACSI So not their fault. This site could be so much better.
Pool clean but rather small for the size of the side. Location is brilliant for the beach and local restaurants. Despite booking, we were given a very sandy pitch which we didn’t really fit on to and got stuck. Probably not rush back. Has a little snack bar on site
