Latest reviews for CAMPING DU LAC
Stayed with the caravan for 3 nights, pitch was fine with a mix of sun and shade.Staff were friendly and helpful, toilets clean and showers warm. Perhaps cleaning them early in the morning might need thinking about.Swimming was great, we were in every afternoon.Easy access from the main roads.Excellent
We stayed on 2024.05.09:+ We imagine the water sports would be great. (Water a bit too cold for us without wetsuits at this time of year.)+ Toilet paper provided- Showers. My wife and daughters’ showers were cold. (Mine was okay.)- Not quiet e.g. near train line- The men’s toilet block was closed for cleaning 08:45 to at least 09:45 - just when everyone wanted the facilitiesAs with other campsites on our trip, there were a lot of mosquitoes.
What to say! We’re traveling Europe by our Van and wanted to enjoy our time a bit by the lake, the lake was alright, nevertheless the blowup water parkour wasn’t open at all even though it said so on their website! Not to mention the owner of both the lake and the camping is a rather sour middle aged woman with perhaps also passing her midlife crises. After our swim we parked our Van on one of the grass parkings outside of the border to enjoy the rest of our day there. We were the only Van parked there besides two other cars, this woman who claims to be the manager didn’t hesitate in letting us know “This is PRIVATE Property” we must leave or else she will call the police she threatened. Now in my right mind I cannot understand how sour hearted you must be when you send people away that aren’t bothering anyone. As we only got 4mins to pack up, she’d already sent a security guard WITH DOG to checkup on us. We barely managed to turn on our engine before he even came by.Three words: WHAT A SHAME!Through our experience we’ve noticed that most camping owners/park owners/ lake owners are quite sour, nor do they enjoy anything of the camping life and camping people. Rather they and especially she was a hungry wolf for money.Unfortunately we already spent full price on the lake entry for 2 people and also had some drinks at her cafe, we hope from that money she can buy a sign “Private Property” to stick onto all of her so called parking lots!Hopefully the three Christmas Fairy’s come save her from her sour soul.
Friendly reception and people are willing to help out. Zone for swimming is perfect, however if you want some shade, go a bit further down the lake (where also pets are welcome).Take into account the TGV which passes by (also during evening), but that can be solved with some ear plugs.Sanitary is nice and clean, but it would be nice to set the timer for the toilet lights a bit longer in order not to sit in the dark after a minute.
Stayed here for a Saturday night at the beginning of September but do not recommend. Youth groups were there and partied all night, and I mean it when I say all night (Campsite does absolutely nothing about the issue). Crazy loud music, drinking and screaming. I went the next morning asking for a refund and they said sure, even took my bank info. I still have not received a refund despite multiple contact attempts. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the bathrooms/showers are decent and there is a lake. Hopefully the campsite can change its policy for these youth groups because it is unacceptable.
