We rented one of the mobile homes on the park in the summer of 2023. The park itself looks ok, but the pool was closed all summer. Apparently they do not own the pool, it's a community pool. This was one of the reasons for visiting this camping since we have 2 kids.Upon arrival we got the keys for the mobile home, but we first had to clean it since it was really dirty and smelling quite damp and musk. Not really pleasant. Also we noticed that the lock was broken, so we where not able to close it.We went to the reception and they told us it would be fixed. But nobody came, we had to sleep with doors unlocked. We took our important belongings and went to the local store to get some decent pillows. The pillows we got with the mobile home where really dirty and smelled like puke. And keep in mind you had to pay extra for this. The overall state of the mobile home was quite bad. They look nice but on the inside a lot was broken and not working. The next day we asked again if the lock could be fixed, but again nobody came. It looked like they didn't really care.On the last day we cleaned the mobile home as best as we could and went to the reception to hand in the keys and get back the deposit. But nobody was there. After waiting for almost a hour we put the keys in the drop box they had in place.I have sent a mail afterwards to report our experience and ask about the deposit. But as expected no response at all. After a few days I noticed that they even claimed the 200 euro deposit. And this without any communication on reason why!So in short, we had a really bad experience. I would not recommend this camping, especially with small kids. Communication is non-existent and I would be careful with doing a deposit. Make sure not to use a credit card, since they will simply take the deposit after you have left. There are a lot of better options close by.
Fantastic campsite staff are friendly and helpful. Pitches are of various sizes but all are pretty good. Views over the river soane was nice. Nice short walk into trevoux which is hilly but pretty with good views. Will definitely stop here again and hopefully for a little longer. 👍
Friendly staff and a great campsite. We pitched our tent for two nights and had a peaceful relaxing stay. Highly recommend.
We stayed 2024.05.10:+ The cheapest campsite on our trip+ Great position+ Super friendly receptionist- No toilet paper- Men’s showers could be improved - storage for dry clothes, Presta tap only lasted 5 seconds st a time.As with other campsites on our trip, it suffered a high number of mosquitoes.
This is a fairly big site with plenty of choice of pitches (you get to choose your own). The toilets and showers were clean and we never had to queue to use them. The English version of the site advertised a great swimming pool as well as the hire of fishing rods so we were disappointed that the swimming pool advertised had been closed down and replaced with inflatables that were geared more for smaller children and the reception staff knew nothing about the fishing rods.We did however enjoy the walk into the town to explore and we hired the free bikes from reception and cycled along the paths along the river for miles which we all really enjoyed.
