Latest reviews for CAMPING LA COMBE D'OYANS
We camped at this site for 5 nights. I hadn’t booked but the couple who run the site were very welcoming, friendly and work really hard to provide a great camping service to visitors. The site is set near lavender fields in a beautiful location looking up to mountains beyond. The pitches are spacious and private. The bar and restaurant is excellent for a small site and all very reasonably priced. The food was the best we’ve had in memory for a camp site. The owner went out of his way to put the Euro football semi and final on for me on a big screen despite being the only English camper! The pool is also superb. The walks and small villages are lovely in the area and a supermarket is about an 8k drive away.Really liked staying there. Thank you to the owners for everything. If we drive through we shall definitely be back.
An extra star for the hospitality of the owners. They are very welcoming, warm and they do everything to please their guests. The location is great, in the woods with a beautiful mountain view. Because of the altitude (370 m) and the location, it is warm in daytime with an occasional breeze, and the nights are cool. Naturally, there are flies and mosquitoes but they are not overwhelming. Most pitches have good shade and bush fences. The ground is green. There is no water connection at the pitch. There are only three toilets (plus one at the restaurant). However, I saw no queues. Interestingly (in a good way), there are toilet seats! Yay! :) Also, toilet paper is available but no soap at the lavatory. To be honest, the toilet block and showers needs a bit of maintenance. Nevertheless, they are kept clean. The washing machine operates with coins that can be bought at the reception for 4 Euro a piece. There is a small playground with a big trampoline. Kids love it!The swimming pool is big enough for the size of the camp. It has a part where the water is 2 meters deep. This gives a piece of mind to the parents of children who love to jump into the pool. There is a small splash pool for the little ones also.
Our family recently completed an RV tour of France and needed a place for a night. Mickael responded to our email inquiry very quickly to confirm availability and welcomed us very warmly. While referred to as a "snack bar" in other reviews, Lucie and Mickael offer a full menu of various types of burgers, fish, steak, and other items, as well as a good beer, wine, and cocktail list. The pool is really nice with a terrific view of the mountains. There's also a fun trampoline for the kids and other games like foosball. As mentioned in other reviews, the campsite facilities are spotless. For RVs, you may drain gray water and dump black water, and refill with potable water. We were lucky to find this campsite after a long day of driving.
Excellent small campsite, in nice situation with a view of the hills. Pitches are a decent size and shaded by trees, with hedges around some of them. Very good facilities , kept very clean. Also has pool and boules area. Very friendly welcome from the owners. Nearby shortish walk to the gorge and hill top castle ruin and viewpoint.Lovely site, highly recommended
Clean and relaxing spot to go to. Kept clean. With a nice size swimming pool and a decent playground for the kids. Very quiet at night, a little gem. We stayed for a night so didn’t get to use the restaurant and bar. You can get bread and croissant booked for the next day and they were very tasty. The shop is tiny, not much at all. Overall really good experience.
