Latest reviews for CAMPING LES MARMOTTES
A nice campground, we stayed here for 10 nights. We had our own bicycles to move around but public transport works well as well. It’s very easy to get uphill to run or hike. Campground it self is clean with recycling possibilities and daily local food truck to provide with a supper in the evening and a bread truck to provide with fresh croissants and bread every morning. Due to the flooding river we were evacuated once and were under the threat for evacuation another time. So the place suffers from its location a bit. But I guess rains have been exceptional this summer.I would give straight five stars should you have toilet paper available (there’s only one machine where you can get paper) and seat rings in all of your toilets. Other than this, it’s a great place. Recommended.
We love this place, that’s why we keep coming back 12 years on!The location for us is great, close to the train station and out of the bustle of downtown. The views are amazing. Can’t comment on rooms as we’ve always camped - the pitches we’ve had have always been great. Some more private than others but kept well. The facilities are keep well and clean. The communal bbq is a great asset.Service is always friendly, helpful and polite with an air of humour added too. Nice to see the change of ownership didn’t have a great effect on what we loved anyway.
We spent 11 nights camping in our tent at Camping Les Marmottes and found it to be a fantastic campsite. Catherine and Yves were very welcoming and ensured we were given all the correct information on arrival. We were given a great pitch and all the facilities were always clean. The site is really well located near the railway station which means you can take the free train into town or either end of the valley. We will definitely be back.
What a fantastic camp site. Very friendly and welcoming, stunning location with great views of the mountains and glaciers, spotlessly clean with excellent showers, and free train passes for the valley so you can get to all the lifts. We loved the different food options every night and had a delicious Nepalese curry!
I spent two weeks in this campsite. I have a lot of experience with campsites across Italy, France and Germany, and honestly this was one of the best camping I have ever been to. Definitely the best one considered the prices. It is very clean, with a lot of facilities for the number of pitches, the staff is always available and super nice. They are super helpful and hard workers. I am looking forward to come again. Totally recommended!
