Very small campsite so make sure you book or arrive early. Perfect location for the town with amazing views.Owners are really helpful and it is worth asking them on the best place to visit.Dog friendly.Sort walk to the bus stop or 20 minutes walk to the town center. Will definitely be going back.
Nice campsite in a great location, the toilet blocks were very clean and the charging points and the area to dry your cloths were a nice touch. There are a few reasons that I marked this down a little firstly I really don't understand no flip flops in the shower as a HS professional this is a concern, plus i really don't understand not putting toilet rolls in the cubicles and only having one dispenser in the room at several points during our stay we had to take our own as it had run out. There were also no femine hygiene bins in the toilets meaning you had to carry out waste products with you. The site was near a main Rd meaning the traffic was constant but this didn't bother us too much. The biggest issue for me was there was zero privacy on the pitches and they crammed tents and vans into every inch, the pitches can only be described as a very dusty patch of gravel, I understand however that this is in part due to the heat wave and drought that Europe recently experienced.
My first camping experience. The view is amazing. It was quite packed and we stayed in a tent area, not in an individual pitch. It is near the road, so cars can be heard. The toilets don’t have individual papel inside the cubicle and the showers are mixed and open. Cheap and very well located.
Cheap camping spot that is really close to Chamonix Sud bus stop! They have a great info board with phone numbers, resources, refugio lists. They also had a free box where you can take or leave items one might need. Staff are kind!Downsides: their WiFi doesn't extend into the camping areas – you have to be rigjt beside the office to use it. Their washrooms got muddy – and you have to grab toilet paper from the dispenser before you use the stalls… cause there is no toilet paper in the stalls. They also regularly ran out of toilet paper. Also, this spot was the first and only time we experienced petty theft on the TMB. Someone stole a bottle of soap that was right in front of us while we were having a wonderful time chatting with other campers.
This was a good campsite with everything you needed but there were a few issues. The biggest issue was the privacy, all the tents were cramped in giving them very little room and the vans were better but still didn’t have much room. The second reasons was that there was this sort of Sandy dirt all over the campsite which got over everything but I don’t think the owner were to blame. Third, the owner were lovely but they would shout at you if you went in the toilet on accident when they were cleaning it. Fourthly, the showers weren’t the best, you weren’t allowed to wear flip flops or any sandals in there, they weren’t the cleanest and other people water would come in to your shower from the bottom and without flip flop this was a problem. Also I would recommend bring your own toilet roll and soap as there was no soap and only one roll each day for everyone. Despite all these issues this was a good campsite that had everything you needed with a toilet, sink, shower, charging station, a place to put your tent and to park your car and nice owners. I would recommend this campsite if you brought a few extra items with you.
