Latest reviews for LE SOLITAIRE DU LAC
We've had a great time here. Friendly staff even though by the end of summer they must be so tired, it doesn't show. Clean facilities with surprisingly nice warm showers. Spacious camping in a gorgeous setting surrounded by mountains, small beaches around, outdoor games. Very gorgeous area with loads to do for anyone.
We were really left wondering what all these good reviews are all about. This place is ridiculous. They put hundreds of people together on a field and don't nearly offer the necessary infrastructure to serve everyone. There is absolutely no privacy at the pitches. Everyone is just smashed together. If you are in the last ones, you have to walk for a really long time to get to the toilets and showers. But the worst of all: YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR WATER. Apparently, they are not yet happy by making money from every single inch of field they have and need to charge for water as well. Anyway, only pro is the truly amazing view. Private access to the lake and the bus to Annecy right in front are what saved the experience for us.
Services were great with very helpful and friendly staff. The pitches are great, and the viewings are exceptionally beautiful. The lake is absolutely beautiful with very nice clean water.
We stayed in our caravan for 12 days on the site, we had an amazing time. The site facilities, staff, location and price were all amazing. We chose one of the 4 Extra Large pitches and we were able to get the caravan on, the car on and an awning and have plenty of room for a table and chairs. The shower and toilet block were spotless and very well maintained. There are ample washing up basins internal and external. Showers were always lovely and warm. Although there is no pool you have direct access to to the lake and it was amazingly clear. I was surprised that it was quite warm for June/July. You are less than 10k from the Annecy town and we cycled there using the dedicated cycle lanes, it was so easy, really flat and the lanes were totally clean of and debris. There is ample parking in Annecy if you wanted to drive there, the perfect car park is the underground spiral type called de l'Hôtel de Ville, this was very cheap and perfectly placed for the market that’s on every Sunday morning. Such a wonderful place to stay and visit.
Lovely spot, clean facilities, a little outdated but they are planning to update this fall. Quiet site, nice access to lake and bike path. Would return. Deducted star for outdated ness and could do with more water points in my opinion.
