Latest reviews for CAMPING KOAWA LE BONTEMPS
We stayed here for 1 night and 1 night was enough. The caravan plot we were allocated was situated at the far end of the campsite on a slope so manoeuvrings the caravan was terrible, to make matters worse the shower blocks close to where we were located were all shut down and not being used so this meant we had to walk to the other side of the site to use showers and toilets. There were no toilet seats and the toilet roll holders were hanging from the wall, the cleanliness was pretty bad.We asked to change to a transit site and we didn’t mind paying more but we got refused.Reception staff were un polite and un professional. Bad customer service.Would not stop here again.1 star is being very generous.
Had the misfortune of spending a week at this campsite, prebooked via CMHC . This site is living on its past reputation and one thing that angers a Motorhomers/ Caravanner is a lack of basic clean sanitary facilities. It was advertised as having 3 shower/ toilet blocks. I was informed by a member of staff that one had been decommissioned some time ago, the other one only had a few toilets available but no showers because they had an issue with the hot water boiler and the third one which had 4 Showers and 4 unisex toilets (only 3 working)was being shared with people using the swimming pool because the pool showers and toilets were out of order. This is basic cleanliness and if you can’t get that right then you shouldn’t be open!! The site might be okay for a one night stopover but even that is debatable. Personally I would not recommend this site to anyone and we won’t be staying here in future.PS- the tourist tax I paid here must be the most expensive in the whole of France. I’ve visited France for nearly 30 years and never realised that it was set by the local Mayor.
We stayed here 2 nights at the stop and go place. Although it was a stop and go spot, they have a lot of privacy and you can make use of all the facilities of the camping. They have a pool with slides, minigolf, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball,… also the animation is nice and they speak multiple languages. Maybe some extra care for the facilities of the stop and go (next to the swimming pool) are needed, because everyone at the pool is making use of them and they get dirty and smelly very fast.
Good place but dirty sanitaryStop and go place is good. But please cut the trees, they are too deep for caravans. Please renew the sanitary and split it between men and women. They were very dirty. Pizza and burger was good! Thanks
This is a really nice campsite, with lots of space and clean facilities, but it doesn't seem to enjoy catering to international guests and I would only recommend staying here if your French is very good. We had 2 incidents that were unfortunate. The main one was my daughter slipped on the stairs of the water slide and cut her chin open quite badly whilst I was supervising her. When we went to the reception for some first aid, there was a language barrier which meant we weren't able to care for her properly. They offered no help. Thankfully they have the details of the nearest hospital written down which we were able to get to in 25 minutes. The cut required 5 stitches - so I really recommend assessing the water slides and pool for safety.Secondly, we were given a pitch number that turned out to be already occupied - again in part from a language barrier. By the time we realized, there wasn't anyone in reception so we simply took the pitch next to it. But the people staying on our pitch complained about us being next to them - and again because our French isn't fluent and they didn't speak any English, it was tricky to work this out and we felt uncomfortable. These were both a shame because the actual campsite seems lovely - loads of space in a beautiful wooded area with many activities for children to enjoy. We were disappointed that we didn't feel particularly welcome and that we had to cut our stay short.
