Latest reviews for CAMPING LES VERNIÈRES
What a find. 12 min walk to centre of village with several restaurants. Nice sized pitches with hedges round many.nice pool, heated and covered but the best is the toilet and shower block, best in France, cleaning last deserves a medal, so clean. We recommend strongly
Went in motor home in May. Very quiet and a little muddy on some pitches. Only a few were open as was quiet. Nice warm pool near the town. Clean showers and toilets but no hand towels or air blowers to dry hands. The shower was new and clean but exasperating! The light kept going off after about 30 s. I needed to walk out of the flow of water to get the light on by which time the button pressed water had stopped flowing! They need to increase the timings and put a hand dryer in toilet otherwise a great site.
We stayed on this campsite (2 people in a tent) for three nights in very high season at a cost of 85 euros including electricity. The facilities are all extremely clean. As it was high season, there was sometimes a wait for the showers or toilets and there wasnt enough space for us to relax around the pool when we wanted to. I imagine this wouldn't be a problem at non-peak times. For the pitches closer to the road, there is some road noise at night. We stayed Tuesday - Friday and on the Thursday night there was loud music at the bar which reverberated around the entire site until around 11:30pm. The site is kept tidy and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. We would return, albeit during a quieter time.
Quite a big site with a range of accommodation on offer. We booked a large pitch with electricity and it was a lovely plot. Unfortunately our electricity cable wouldn't fit to the box as it was so far away so we had to move pitches. The one we went to wasn't too bad, apart from the mole that obviously lived there and it kept coming up underneath the tent (underneath the ground sheet thankfully so it didn't get inside). It enjoyed knocking over a lot of items inside and also created several precarious holes underfoot! We didn't use many of the facilities apart from the toilets and showers, ut there is a bar there. We enjoyed exploring around, but due to the many mountains and our low levels of fitness we only cycled short distances. Great place to stay and reasonably quiet.
Lots of fairly big pitches all shaded by trees showers and toilets modern and clean ehu is reversed polarity and cdp is at the mh drop and top facility. Town about 20min walk with lots of shops and french restaurants.
