Latest reviews for CAMPING LA PLAGE VERTE
Originally we were put off by the reviews of this site, but thought we'd try it anyway and were very pleased we did. The pitches are large with some shade, showers, lavabos and toilets were plentiful and clean, there were amazing views of the mountains from most of the pitches, and the shower temperature was controllable (not always possible in campsites) with lots of hot water. One of the best things was the shaded and short walk into Mont Dore - about 30 minutes. And it is a quiet, calm campsite. In the evening we enjoyed the cool beers available.I agree with other reviewers that it's not particularly nice for men or women to have the urinals in the toilets. The other two negatives were having to pay cash, and the fact that there was no hot water in the laundry block. Though perhaps the latter was temporary. The owner is no Graham Norton but he was pleasant enough during our stay.No toilet paper but I appreciate that this is a cultural difference - you're lucky to get this in French campsites.Ultimately we would be very happy to stay here again.
Casual although very nice camping with good view over the mountains. Next to quiet road and between grasslands. Near Mont-Dore, by car 5 minutes. Walking possible directly from campingsite.
My first visit to the Green Beach campsite. My only desire is to return. Calm, well placed, on a human scale. The service is very good and we were greeted by a young girl almost perfectly. Rejuvenating stay.
Good morning,Pleasant, shady, quiet campsite.Well placed for hiking and sightseeing.Very fair price.Nearby town for shoppingI recommend.
Rather large campsite, in a lovely area, near Puy de Sancy.Campsite rather frequented by regulars, but pleasant when you spend a night there to go hiking. However, very few showers for the entire campsite, remember to bring flip flops!
