Latest reviews for CAMPING LE CLOS AUROY
Nice campground with private pitches, pleasant reception. Toilet & shower block not as modern as many sites we have been to in France but they were clean and usable. We stayed 2 nights in September and enjoyed our stay
Easy off motorway was lunchtime so used auto machine was easy to use . Very friendly staff.
Good campsite close to the A75. Easy to access. We stayed 2 nights when passing through, showers/toilets etc were all clean and plots were a good size. Kids loved the pools and slides, would stay again.
I really don't understand how this camping has a 4 star rating. We stayed there and found it a very poor camping with very simple facilities. To get bread in the morning we even had to walk 10 minutes to a small local baker. The Dutch manager/owner(?) is not really suited for a job needing people skills. He's quite a sour personality and doesn't seem to like answering customer questions. We would definitely never stay there again.Update after owner response:Basically I'm not so interested in price but in quality of what I'm paying for... and the tone of the reception/owner which I was here not impressed with.I'm used to MUCH better.btw 5 minutes TOO the the baker is of course 10 minutes.A camping that has no bread for breakfast is not really a camping but just a piece of ground.Update 2:The 2nd response of the owner is very typical of his poor manner with customers. I had reserved a pitch several days prior to arrival, with an agreed arrival time and we arrived as agreed.I'm afraid the owner needs a course on manners and how to address customers.
Owner is rude and unhelpful. He could take people skill lessons from his cleaner. Pitch was satis, toilet facilty clean, but no water for motorhome unless you have a bucket. The price paid would expect more. Village is quiet, very quiet. We had planned a 2 night stop,, left after 1st night. Wont be using again.
