Latest reviews for CAMPING INTERNATIONAL DU SIERROZ
In general an okay experience.Starting off with the good things, the staff was nice and we had all the basic things we needed. Our camping spot had shadow (even though there were a lot of spots in the full sun). The sanitary buildings were cleaned twice a day. And there were bbq's for free use on the lot. Also some washing machines. The location is good, Aix les Bains is a nice place, at a lake, surrounded by mountains, with lots of outdoor activities in the area. (Recommended: canyoning and via ferrata!)Now, sadly the showers and sinks didn't work properly, they were those buttons you push and then the water streams for a certain amount of time, except you had to hold them in for them to work, not ideal when showering or washing up.Furthermore there's so much light on this camping at night. There's these big street lights on the camping that burn brightly all night. Same goes for the sanitary building, the lights stay on all night. I'm used to it being dark on a camping at night, needing a flashlight, not having to wear an eye mask because the light shines so bright on my tent.Sidenote:The camping isn't situated at a beach, you have to walk quite far to go into the water. There is a little set of stairs to go into the water when you cross the road from the camping, but there isn't anywhere to sit or lay there, so if you actually want a beach you have to walk half an hour. All together it was okay!
Very lovely staff, wasn't told about the building going on next to the campsite!!! But nothing the campsite can do about the noise is not their fault! Would go back again, facilities need a slightly better clean in the mornings.
Camping is fine, the restrooms and showers are all worn down and only one of the two were open. This all would not be bad, but their snack bar employees urinated right at the place were their customers sit down to eat. This is unacceptable!!!
Right at the lake and easy to find, a bit noisy at night with cars speeding around outside, not a fault of the campsite but be aware if your a light sleeper, showers great and everything clean, security guard speaks zero English but is always patrolling and keeping an eye on things so doing a good job, loads to do in the area, food van is a complete disaster, stand in a queue for 30 mins only to be told your burger will be ready in another 45mins, they only seem to cook each person order at a time, the burgers were OK but not worth waiting for, same food in a restaurant isn't much more, once again no fault of the campsite but something needs done about it. Apart from that it was great
Very nice camping site. Well protected emplacements of sufficent size. Good personal. We travel with camper van and big tent. No problem. Going by bike into the city is a easy through the good bike marks (10 minutes).
