Latest reviews for YELLOH! VILLAGE LE FAYOLAN
Overall a nice place to be. I like the shadowful, green pitches and the closeness to service buildings. The site also has a big swimming pool and a good convenience store. I really wished that the toilets were better, though. They are not very clean, they are small, uncomfortable and with almost no intimacy. This does not at all live up to 4 star camping other places in Europe. Arguably this is most suited for families with kids. There are beautiful, although steep, bike routes around the lakes in the area. Be aware that the bike routes between Grand Lac and Petit Lac can be very muddy. The campsite has bike rental but they were sold out when we visited, so either bring your own bikes or head to the city for rentals. The snack bar on-site is okay, but you alot for simple meals with a lot of fries. The price of the stay in general is a bit high in my opinion.
WiFi is pretty rubbish as seems standard throughout Yelloh! Village locations. Pool toilets were always gross and not cleaned often enough. Weirdly the ice cream place only opened from 5pm. The pools were fine but not the cleanest, in one place there was stagnant water that had clearly been there a long time.My daughter’s shoes were stolen from the pool as you have to remove shoes and leave them on shelves. Most of the staff at the snack bar and ice cream shack were lovely and helpful. We went to the restaurant on our last night. Food was ok but nothing to write home about and one of the waiting staff was quite rude.Kids entertainment staff were great with my youngest daughter who has a learning disability. In particular I’d like to give a shout out to Sonia and Taly who looked after her and helped her join in the children’s show.
Good time at the Foyalan in the lovely region of Jura.Staff was friendly, good activities on site.Nevertheless, mobile -home smelt of cigarette despite signs: "Do not smoke " placed inside. It was horrible despite we opened Windows!Message to smokers: " Read signs and stop poluting the fresh hair of non-smokers !
Excellent camping in a great location. Caravan for 6 was spacious, clean and fully equipped. Grounds well maintained, great pools for the whole family, fun clubs (Aquagym particularly), private access to a beautiful natural lake which was great to swim in, local village nearby (20mins walk) with all amenities. Staff were all very polite and friendly, and most spoke 2 languages.
Run down resort. Great location, stunning views. Lovely part of France. Owners need to dig deep and Spend money on the resort. Staff training needed. Rude & unhelpful. Cleanliness is also an issue in all areas. Over all accommodation was not cleaned before our arrival. I complained and much could be done at 5pm on our arrival until next day. We had to clean the floors, sofas etc ourselves
