CAMPING LES BORDS DE LOUE

I drove in and drove out 😕 security and police on site, lots of people drinking... Sorry just wasn't what I was looking for 😔

This is a great campsite for families. Loads to do for the little kids and big kids alike, such as kids club, swimming, waterslide, football, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, fishing, canoeing.......There is a shop/bar on site, but the shop is not well stocked, although there is a huge supermarket 15 minutes away.There is a pizzeria style snack shack on site for the days you don't feel like cooking.The toilets are French in style (no toilet seat), but always very clean, and the showers are clean and adequate.This is not a 5 star site, so don't expect luxuries, but a great site for family fun.The river is thigh deep, and sparklingly clear, with small trout swimming around.I always found the staff pleasant and helpful.There is some form of entertainment on every night until 11.00pm.Word to the wise, don't do the mussels on mussel night. Portion size is not good for the 11 euros per head. However, when the local traders set up, do try the snails, they were brilliant!

We had a great time at this peaceful little calm site by the river. Staff were very friendly and we had everything we needed. Will stop by again next year.

Internet doesn’t work, you get connected but it’s so slow that is practically useless, and the camping is pretty empty. The water temperature in the shower is fixed, can’t be change so if you like to finish your shower with cold water just forget about it. There aren’t paper nor toilet seat in the toilets. Is to be expected for a 18 euros a nite with a small tent a bike and only one person. The place is cool though and there is a pool that I guess should be pretty amusing for the kids.

Very nice, wel maintained and clean camping site. Friendly staff, beatiful location, and large plots.2 small minus points.The restaurant is only open in the weekends and not all the showers are working.But all in all a very nice camping.
