CAMPING DE L'ÎLE

Absolutely splendid camping between 2 waterways. The location means you have a lovely cooling breeze, which is a delight after a day of cycling. Direct access to the river just beside the tent camping is fantastic also. The atmosphere in the campsite is lovely, the facilities are kept very clean and tidy. A sheltered space for eating or working.

Beautiful shady campsite on the river with access for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Also right next to the eurovelo6 route for bike rides next to the canal. Restaurant is excellent with local dishes and very reasonable.Please give the hard working family a break and don’t go to reception between 12 and 2pm.

We recently stayed at camping de l'île with our family, including two young children aged almost 1 and 3 years old. The location was very nice, nestled by the water amidst beautiful natural surroundings. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious pitches, providing ample room for our camper, tent and play area for the kids.The owners were very welcoming, even inviting us for an evening around the campfire with drinks. Exploring the area was a joy, especially with the EuroVelo 6 nearby, offering scenic cycling routes. There was also a nice small playground which our oldest one enjoyed a lot.The bathroom facilities were very clean and spacious. The showers provided consistently warm water.Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend staying here.

This little campground right by a beautiful river is great for a stop on your way further South/or North. The campground is mostly quiet (you can only hear the river flowing down some steps) and has some beautiful views and even a direct access to the water.The restrooms are clean, though there are no toilet seats and no toilet paper in the stalls. I would recommend to book a space in advance, because even in the off season almost all of them were occupied. We payed 19,50€ for one night including electricity.
