Visited the caves during our holiday in Saint-Point. Very nice caves, well preserved and the skilled and friendly guide had a lot of nice things to share on top of the information we got from the audio-tour. Would advise everybody to spend the money. You get a 1,5h tour in return, lead by a skilled guide.Booking the tickets in advance worked like a charme by the way.
Terrible service. Without notice upfront on reservation non-french kids don't get any audio voiceover and no one is doing any effort to find a satisfying solution after making a complaint. Disengaged children as a result.A shame because the caves are nice and if they would put a little bit more effort in providing kids with an audio listening device as well, we would have a very different result.
I was surprised by the extent of the cave system. The tour was excellent and the staff are fun and engaging. There is a great collection of artefacts in the museum prior to visiting. The guide starts outside and you enter and visit 2 different caves. You go very deep and the change in temperature is impressive. You'll see fossils of coral and also mamals, there are stalactites and stalagmites, waterfalls and pools. Some of the caves have very well preserved skeletons.
Interesting tour (in French) very easy going you do need to book in advance online but not expensive
Interesting visit with good explanation. Very accessible even for us tourists who showed up in flip flops.Do bring a sweater since it is quiet a bit colder in the cave then outside. Thy being said, we visited during a heatwave so the cold was very welcome.Don't be surprised if Google brings you to a camp site, the reception of the caves are on the right.
