Latest reviews for CAMPING SAINT VITAL
Very pleasant campsite, close to the historic town of Cluny. We visited in Spring so the pool etc was not open. The only down side of the site is that it is very close to a main train line. The trains are very noisy during the day, and they start quite early in the morning.
4.75 is my score. Very friendly receptionists. Bakery service, free use of the village pool on the same site. Large, green grass camping pitches. Hot water, drinking water-points and a lovely village on walking distance (Cluny) and a small coffee/snack/cold beer cottage on site with friendly staff. Been here before and shall return in the future. Bullit train passes nearby but got used to that in a day.
Am amazed this doesn't have higher reviews as I struggle to find a single fault. The staff are lovely and helpful. The facilities are spotless and amongst the cleanest I have seen anywhere. Lovely pitches in a peaceful location and many with shade. Short stroll into one of the prettiest towns you could find anywhere (great food & wine). Locked back gate (you get a key) and just step onto a 60km cycle trail. There's a good pool for which I guess you get discounted access but it's not too noisy. There is a train line but the trains are neither loud nor frequent and pass in seconds. One of the best campsites we have visited (and we're up to about 200).
Arrived at this campsite and had a very warm welcome from the 2 gentleman at reception.I was very shocked by price of 32.30 Euro for a motorhome with 2 people per night with electricity, this was the most expensive that we had paid during our trip.Unfortunately we had no knowledge of train noise and despite site being 80% empty, we were placed very closely to a Bulgarian camp of workers, who appeared to have many visitors after site closed at 7pm, the noise level appeared to drop but the speed of their vehicles was frightening.Very sad that we were placed so close on such a large site, there is an outdoor swimming area that was clearly not open in this season, so therefore fees could have been lowered
One of my favourite campsites in France. Large open grassland with mature trees. Easy walk into town and shops. Swimming pool is municipal but included in the price. Good centre for walks and cycling. The TGV….The line is very close: I like the sound but it takes some getting used to. It sounds like you’re being attacked by a fighter jet.
