CAMPING LE VALLON AUX MERLETTES

A clean, quiet site with friendly staff. The toilet , shower and dish washing areas were huge so no waiting around. The pitches were large and flat with plenty of space and had a privacy hedge around. There was a small shop, bar with outdoor seating, swimming pool and outdoor equipment for children. You can down load an app for the site that gives all the information you need as well as local events happening. The site is well situated and a 5 minute walk into the local town or 15 minute walk to the supermarket. We would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again.

Stopped at Camping Matignon after two weeks in Carnac, very good site for anyone travelling into or out of Cherbourg. We are staying for a week, facilities are first class and the staff very friendly.

A really lovely, campsite with a natural feel to it, run by a really friendly, hospitable couple - nothing was too much trouble to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Ideally situated on the edge of the small town of Matignon with an excellent boulangerie, a selection of reasonably priced eating places and a good-sized SuperU supermarket within easy walking (10 - 15 mins) or cycling distance. It is also central to many of the attractions of the north Brittany coast, and within an hour of St. Malo and Mont St. Michel. Just after Easter (March 2016) the campsite was very quiet but the covered pool and other facilities were all open and we had our choice of the grass pitches. These are mostly sloping but a good size and not an issue with ramps to correct the slope - and this minor inconvenience is more than outweighed by the many positives of this site. We were sad to leave and will definitely return.

Absolutely love this place. We just had to go in the week of summer 2017 when it rained. So the covered swimming pool was a god send for the children, especially as the bar was next door so parents can sit outside and keep an eye out. The owners are brilliant no request is too much and you can pre order bread and croissants the night before for AM delivery. In the local town 10 mins walk away they do a traditional French market on Weds. Beach is beautiful but a drive away. Mont St Michel is only a few hours away so makes a great day trip especially if it rains ! 😃

Stayed for 2 nights fantastic all the amenities close to the pitches very quiet and calm just what we needed to relax.
