Very pleasant stay at Bois du Barde, relaxing and soothing. A place full of good energy in the middle of beautiful nature and a very warm welcome from Nicolas, it makes you want to come back! I slept very well in the yurt. Very reasonable price, grounds and common areas (sanitary facilities, kitchen and dry toilets) clean and well maintained. Shared kitchen for those staying which allows you to cook yourself, it's economical and practical, with a pleasant space to eat outside when the weather is nice. To be done again with pleasure.
Splendid place, and splendid philosophy in the way of managing it. The campsite area is simple but always well maintained, the farm life all around is perfect for children who can play freely there, and the common areas are both very useful and perfect for chatting with other people. of passages. Finally, the welcome is excellent, always open and friendly. I highly recommend!
We spent a week in the Breton yurt. Located at the end of the campsite, it is quiet and spacious with even a small lounge area. The natural camping area is aptly named: lush vegetation, tall grass (thanks for the wildlife) surrounded by forest, insects and birds can be observed there. For young and old, the environment is very nice and calm.Great services: feeding the animals, visiting the farm, small fireside, cabin for children, fest noz, shared meal, etc. You can also take lots of walks or bike rides from the farm. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the farm with Gilles. It’s a place that invites you to chat and take your time. We had some great meetings there. Our yurt neighbors Éloïse and Quentin with whom we shared great moments. But also Gilles owner of the place. Passionate, funny and sweet. Always a laugh. A great “oldie”. For us it is the soul of the place. However, we regret the cleanliness and maintenance of the common areas. Whether it's the kitchen, showers, toilets, play area for children. The dirt has accumulated for a long time. Blocked shower, another broken and dangerous metal drain, very dirty sinks and floor drain clogged with dirt and hair, dirt accumulating everywhere, smell in the toilets that is difficult to bear. We are used to Ecolieux and natural camping areas (and dry toilets!) but this was really limiting for us. We did/dried/put away the dishes and emptied the glass/yellow bag as directed. And of course washed the table, shower squeegee, refilled toilet sawdust, brooms, etc. Like many campers. But that’s not enough of course. May be a better indicator of campers' level of household participation. You can leave cleaning products and materials available. Other than a broom and a squeegee I mean. As the week progressed, it weighed on us.
Travel along the canal from Nantes to Brest by bike. Arrived in the rain, soaked to the skin, a little before 6 p.m. No one to welcome us... we are shown a house, not indicated at the entrance to the land. We rented the trailer - we access it alone, the grass is high - it is very bucolic and humid. No problem, we're already soaked. In the trailer, no towel, no sheet. We give up looking at the condition of the bedding. only one objective, to take a good hot shower...Alas, frozen in front of the toilets waiting shirtless, a Mr in a bucket hat tells us after 1/4 hour that the children have priority....No problem we go back , warm ourselves in our trailer via the tall, soggy grass. A little desire brings us to the dry toilets (the only non-humid place on the site), except that there is no toilet paper and the smell must be eco-labelled...Finally I see the advantage of tall grass, even soggy. A good breakfast at 7.50 euros adds a little to the overall feeling we have about this place. In the end, for 90.50 euros for 3 people, we have lasting memories that still make us laugh. Our childhood memories of free wild camping came flooding back.
Area for camping without comfort, dry toilets, 2 showers, grass in the field not cut, trailer at €68 per night for 4-5. It is true that we had spent the day in the rain cycling, soaking wet.
