My first camping experience in France. This is so much better than I expected. And I have recommended this site to my other friends. they will come visit soon.
We loved our stay here. The view ist amazing, the food was delicious and everyone was extremely nice and friendly. Since we are traveling with a little child, we appreciated the amenities that were provided. Everything was smooth and easy-going here.
Don't stay here if you want a good night's rest. I was walking the GR34 and got a tent next to the reception and bar. There was a performance till 10 o'clock in the evening and loud music till 23.30. I had to get up very early the next morning so this was very uncomfortable. When I confronted the staff with my problem they just laughed and said that it was still early. One of them literally said 'you choose to be here' and 'you get a four star camping'. The family in the tent next to me also had a problem with the noise but the staff didn't care at all. They were not understanding and very antisocial. If you want to party till late in the evening that's fine, but you should warn people who sleep close to the bar. Especially hikers because they go to bed early and get up early. They knew I was one because I told them on the phone. A very tacky place with unfriendly employees.
We have been to this camping village for one week, living in a mobilhome with sea view. The mobilhome was very clean at our arrival. Our stay at the bungalow was ok but not what you would expect from a 4 stars camping. Here below the list of issues we found, most of them related to the customer services:1) when you arrive at the campsite you cannot park nearby the reception but you have to walk down and then up 150 m to get your stay arranged2) the day before the departure, a lady enters in your mobilhome without any notice (I found it very rude, not even saying, hello, may I enter? ) to check what we were doing and how we had kept the place3) the bar and restaurant does not provide any service that should provide:- you can book your bread but it might take more than 15 minutes to pay it (the lady who sells the bread, she also cooks breakfasts, and serves the bar)- you might be able to book your food for the evening but then, they do not reserve the tables so you should be eating your food with no table4) people in the campsite do not care at all about rules (for example you can find dog organic garbage around, or smoking rules) and noone cares about making them respectThe view was really nice , the rest a bit less....
The location of the campsite is superb with magnificent views and easy access to lots of lovely places in this region of France. The reception staff were quite helpful. There are 2 very nice walks from the site, although they could both do with more signposts to make them easier to follow. Although the mobile home was great we were disappointed that there is no oven, only a hob and microwave. Also we feel that a kettle should be provided for English people like us who want to make a cup of tea. Plus the bedding was very strange, throwaway mattress and pillow protectorsHowever, we would definitely recommend this campsite to others as apart from these niggles it was a great holiday.
