Latest reviews for CAMPING DE KERLEVEN
12 nights camping. Very generous pitch. Had asked to be in a quiet spot next to friends we had travelled with. The pitch we had was perfect. Shower and toilet block very very clean, modern always being cleaned by staff. Only draw back no bakery of site so had to order breakfast the night before. Great location easy walk to beach, marina, cafes, Bars and town. Very few English people on site. We relied on Google translate. A lovely stay.
It was a fabulous short spring vacation we enjoy the mobile house and the indoor pool during our stays , definitely we will comeback hopefully by summer ! I recommend this place for family and couple camping . We indeed enjoyed the indoor pool ! As well . It’s very kiddy’s friendly ❤️.
We had a great holiday at Camping de Kerleven. It's a campsite that doesn't seem to get many English people - not a criticism just expect to fire up Google translate for some of the booking documents you get etc. All the staff speak good English and were very understanding of my pitiful French! The kids still made friends easily. We stayed in a Soleil which had a deck. There were others that had a covered or partially covered deck. Outside, a large table, seating for six, a couple of deckchairs, barbeque and a space to park one car. Inside the mobil home was modern, clean and quite basic but comfortable. We had to bring towels and sheets. The campsite was busy while we were there but still really nice and calm, quiet and relaxing. On site there are three pools and two slides open from 9am to 8pm. Inside is what I would call a fun pool, rounded with a shallow beach style entrance. A shallower bit with a small slide and a jacuzzi. It's covered and is a bit greenhouse like. Outside is a large square more traditional pool. Lots of loungers and seats. All the water is heated, not bath like, just enough for it to not be freezing when you get in. The area to get in to the pool looks like it needs a bit of a spruce up. The staff clearly work hard to keep it clean but it gets a lot of traffic so take your flip flops! The French 'no swimming shorts at the pool' rule is enforced - you will be asked to leave the pool. If you forget, they don't sell them on site, there is a Decathlon at Concarneau where you can pick some up for a few euro. There's a little Carrefour Express in Foret de Fouesnant but Lidl and Super U a little further afield. There is a sandy play park, football/basketball area, boule areas. All well maintained. A laundry area, €3.50 for a wash token from reception. A little shop on site where you can order croissants and baguettes etc. Prices seemed ok. There is a restaurant and a takeaway, I can confirm chips are yummy as are the pizza. The beach here is beautiful, there is a lifeguarded area and excellent disabled access - beach going wheelchairs to use. Toilets, showers, ample parking (but only a few minutes walk from the campsite). There is a small playpark. The beach is very, very clean. My daily beachclean garnered only a small handful of bits and I really had to look for it. Lots of sea glass to find. There is an pleasant walk or cycle round to Foret de Fouesnant via the marina and a lovely wetland area.Overall, it's a lovely site and a really nice area to visit. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.
