Great campsite, friendly staff
Calm cool 😎
We booked a T2 gîte (5 people) at the Tremelin campsite for 5 nights. Tremelin Lake is a very pleasant place, there are many activities for young and old.On the other hand, we were extremely disappointed with the gîte. In fact, the gîte we booked was dilapidated. The door handles are in poor condition, the toilet bowl is moving, the table is broken in several places, the edges of the shelves are peeling off, there is a hole at the top of the shower which I assume was a shower head holder. shower (so there was no shower head holder). Following rain, we had a leak in the ceiling of the living room (due to an accumulation of pine needles on the roof). The sofa bed in the living room is comfortable on the seat part of the sofa but very uncomfortable for the back part of the sofa. It is an ideal sofa bed for extra space but not for a bed in a rental. The price in high season is €75 per night, in comparison there is a campsite near us for €100 less per week with a gîte for 6 people (the gîtes are even rented year-round for residents), the campsite and the surrounding area offer the same service and there is swimming pool access. The price therefore does not justify the obsolescence.
What a cool spot; Lac de Tremelin! We were on a very large site with a view of the lake (we have no idea we need electricity and this was a site without electricity), wonderfully quiet with squirrels as neighbors. Sanitary facilities are very clean and staff super friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do at the lake; canoeing, sailing, fishing, walking, swimming etc
Booked since October for a group of campervans (association), 18 in total, we arrived at 6 p.m. Absent manager leaving someone to manage but completely overwhelmed. We were reserved 8 places for 18 trucks, with 4 electrical outlets even though we all needed a connection. We brought up the person who was managing it. He arrived nonchalantly, saying he didn't see what the problem was. The ground was broken, small tree trunks were sticking out… piles of plant waste right in the middle of the paths going to the “pseudo locations”… in short… a disaster. So we all decided to spread out where we were the day before, at the Port de Beslé municipal campsite. The manager immediately said yes. And we thank him for that.I'm willing that they suffered from the storm, but frankly when we know we have to open, some cleaning needs to be done.Really a disappointment because the organizer had been in communication with this campsite since the end of the year. We were literally made fun of...To flee
