Latest reviews for CAMPING SANDAYA BELLE-PLAGE
Second visit to this site. Great position, located right next to the beach. 5 min stroll into the village. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities reasonable. Staff organise sports and other entertainment. I can see why it can be fully booked. We will be back.
Small pitches in the shade. Be careful when requested a pitch unfortunately I booked in advance on line so my pitch was in shade all day and in September that's cold. I noted after that other motorhome holiday makers have also mentioned small dark pitches. Our neighbours awning actually touched our awning. There were big bauld grass patches. I understand it's end of season but we are still on our holidays.I found the site soulless. The Bar served wine from a box. I don't expect this from a 4&5* campsite.Only positive you can walk easily to the village with numerous bars and restaurants and stones throw to the beach.Shower rooms dark. Laundry reasonable price. No shop on site. Local village had supermarket though. No wifi. Or buy wifi. I didn't feel this site was luxury and I've stayed at another Sandaya site previously in northern France which was far better.
Location and beach access was very good. Bargain price with ACSI. Pitches need better maintenance as ours had high weeds. Roads & walkways need repair. Restrooms were clean but lightning needs improvement - repair and/or adjustment of timers so you aren’t frequently left in the dark at night.
Avoid. What once were large pitches have been split in 2 making them tiny. Motorhomes are pitched far too close to each other. There is no care taken of the sitw. The weeds are not cut ( and no this is not leaving them for eco purposes). There is dog **** on the pitch next to mine. The showers and toilets are not cleaned properly. All in all very very disappointing.
Nice site with direct access to the beach. Good shower block. Some pitches are a bit narrow. The pitches on the north side are a bit noisy due to the busy road along that side. Bar and restaurant well ran by the 2 lads.
