Recently renovated (IMO) site makes for a very pleasant site. I only stayed overnight but a few days here would have been a CV pleasure. Toilets, showers etc clean (they were being cleaned the morning I left) save the water was hot.I didn't visit the snack bar but when I arrived it was rocking. I travelled with 2 dogs who were welcomed and there were plenty of areas for walking them. The local town was a few minutes walk away and, had a plethora of bars, restaurants and shops.I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this site in our camper in August 2023.It is a residential site with just a handful of camping pitches. Our pitch was a mix of grass and gravel and had some rubbish lying around. The toilet block was rough round the edges and needed cleaning more often.Having said that, the bits of the site that are used by residents were wonderful!Everywhere else was beautifully kept! The pool and slide were awesome, the children loved it! The parks and basket ball court were great too. We didn’t eat at the bar/cafe but it was obviously very busy and popular with the residents.Summary: If you’re in a van with all your own facilities/toilet like us then you will love this site! Campers, maybe give them a bit more time to continue to improve their offering for camping.
** Edited review**Nice enough place. Unfortunately the mobile home we booked and checked into had a broken window and latch meaning we had to move. The second home was a bit grubby, so had to clean it myself on arrival. I got lots of bites from bugs so checked out a day early. Not the sites fault of course (later confirmed they were bed bugs, so it probably was the sites fault!). Nice village just 15 mins on foot. Good pool with cover. Didn't try the snack bar so can't comment on that.
Only 3 pitches all geared up for chalet rental. Used Google translate to talk as no English spoken. Pool the size of a postage stamp no way big enough for numbers on campsite. £115 EUROS for 3 nights and the showers were token operated that I assumed you paid for. The saving of this place are the friendly people and the very pretty local area including Chateau D Anet.
Rude and don't take tents
