Latest reviews for CAMPING LES ÎLOTS DE ST VAL
gorgeous site, we arrived late and hadn't booked but the lady was very nice and told us to choose a spot, and asked if we wanted fresh bread in the morning, we didn't need electric, the showers and toilets where very clean. all of the plots have hedges around and are very spacious. But if you come in a large motorhome they can be a bit tight to maneuver. they have a service point for motorhomes too, and please don't do what we saw someone doing and try to empty to cassette toilet in the toilets, it's rude and ignorant to not read the signs that are there and there is a proper place to do that. I had to stop them and direct them to the correct place to do it. we had a lovely stay and will come back again thank you xx it was 24 euros for one night
This camp site was literally in the middle of nowhere. Nice people, but sadly lacking amenities. Showers are hot and clean although the block is dated. No sinks in the toilet area for hand washing, you use the kitchen pot washing sinks. There isnt any kind of paper or electric hand dryers either. Gardens need attention. Place very run down, looks like it was lovely 20 or 30 years ago. It seems as if it's being taken over by wood / plastic huts gradually but still still lacks amenities.
Huge site close to the village where my daughter lives. Had my pick of the pitches and drove around until I found one that suited me best. Beautiful views of the lake and facilities excellent - great toilets and showers with lots of washing up areas. Didn’t get a chance to meet the owners but they were very accommodating by phone and mail. Very happy overall and will be back again.
Very quiet site and very much out of the way. We enjoyed the tranquillity of the place and the facilities were clean and well kept. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Close to the lovely village of Maintenon, we loved the local restaurants and the chateau is stunning. Also not too far from the train station and only 40 min ride to Paris. Highly recommend!
This is a little off the beaten track but was really nice. We spent 4 days on the site. We sited the caravan with ease in a grassed area surrounded by hedges which was nice. The park was good and the kids loved it. You could order croissants from reception for morning and they would deliver. The showers and wash rooms were clean spacious and tidy. My boys did not like the fact there were no toilet seats but that is the only negative. There are shops nearby and the train station was only 4km away which got us to Paris on one of our days. The washing machine and drier are 4 euros each. There are fields all around the site and you are around 3 miles from the nearest place with a shop. Owners were very polite and pleasant. Well worth a visit for peace and quiet. Views are stunning.you can buy WiFi as well
