CAMPING LA VALLÉE DE L'INDRE

Great site just off the main road for easy access and situated next to the river and a few minutes walk into the centre. Friendly and helpful owner who takes a great pride in his site. They had floods earlier in the year and some pitches were still soft but the owner worked hard to find a place for everyone. Great showers and separate m/f toilets with toilet seats and paper! Lovely heated swimming pool with a great kiddies pool. Lots of other activities just outside the site. Great place for a stopover or even stay longer. Highly recommend.

Fabulous campsite, river location and privacy.This would have been an all five rating but for motorhome users, to fill your fresh water I was told to use the toilet flush tap for black water rinse, people put the toilet empty tube over this and it is very un hygienic and revolting.I located a fresh tap by the reception and filled from this.The fresh water tap opposite the waste pillar was not working.Other than this, the campsite is a great place to stay.

This is a Gem !The owner and his sons are doing an amazing job in keeping to place beautiful. They are kind-hearted and always there if you you need help. The place is emaculate. It’s lush, clean and right on the river. I stayed there for 5 nights and I wish I could have stayed longer. My dog and I loved it.

*Edited* The onsite bar and restaurant are nice if a little basic. The pool is basic but clean. Our mobile home was clean and functional. Unfortunately the mattresses were horrendous. Very thin and worn. You could feel every spring in the bed. It cost us our rest on holidays as none of us got a good night's sleep.It's unfortunate that the beds are so terrible, as rest is so important on holidays, and the main reason for the break in the first place.**Edited due to response from owner: I was referring to the Guinguette bar and restaurant next door. They were really the only saving grace for the Camping. Therefore I have to remove another star.**Edit 2: our visit took place last year when the Guinguette was open. I am entitled to share my opinion which is entirely fact- based.To anyone reading, please note the tone of the reply of the owner. It should tell you all you need to know about the service there.

Hi we stayed on the campsite for four nights. We were planning for two but we liked it so much. Very friendly staff. Great clean campsite near the river. A very nice swimming pool. Lot of nature around. We loved it !
