A beautifully situated camper location if you like peace and quiet, with clean sanitary facilities and wonderful showers. it is a bit dated but what do you want for this price. we had a very good time there.Price quality rate for me is a 8.For a good meal go to the Döner restaurant close by.
At first the site looked nice but most of the pitches were grass, not good for a heavy motorhome after days of rain ! There was very little exterior lighting at night either so vans coming after dark were really struggling. Also, in the write up it says ‘close to hiking trails’ , where are they? Other than walking round the village there are none, I even asked in the tourist information office and was told there aren’t any, no good if you have dogs! Very disappointed with it, only plus point is proximity to motorway.
What a relaxing and well maintained site Camping De Mon Village is. The entry to the site looks almost brand new, with the card machine, touch pad and barrier all looking like they've been newly fitted. The whole site is very clean, the grass recently cut and the hedges & bushes neatly trimmed. The pitches aren't regimented, each having easy access to water & electricity, whilst offering plenty of shade from established trees. The shower blocks are modern and clean. Not large but more than sufficient for the size of site. There's plenty of lush green areas and the view at the rear of the site is over a green parkland with benches and a small lake.A short walk of no more than 7 to 8 minutes takes you right into the town centre and the main square which has two bars, a pharmacy, grocers, a petrol station, a bank with ATM, the post office plus a museum with the history of the circus. The Mayor's office is an impressive building overlooking the main square. There are also several estate agents.A really nice site that's convenient for the A20, 3 hours south-west of Paris and a similar time from the Dordogne.
Beautifully laid and superior camping car site. For a staggering 12€ you get showers, toilets, waste emptying and fresh water and electricity on each pitch. Best kept secret! Right in town of Vatan too with boulangerie, tabac.
Very well kept level site with very acceptable shower/ toilet facilities. Obviously serviced daily, by local authority? Dining/food availability in the village is limited. A short- less than 5 minute walk to the village.
