Latest reviews for YELLOH! VILLAGE PARC DU VAL DE LOIRE
Its a lovely, friendly and well kept campsite. Our premium 3 bed chalet was clean and comfortable and the site has lots of activities, trees and green spaces. Its the perfect site for children: very family focussed. The pool areas are a little small for high season and were very crowded in the last week of August. The restaurant food is not very good: mainly pizza, burgers and other junk food and there are no other restaurants in walking distance. The staff are really friendly and helpful throughout the campsite. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
This is a great campsite well placed to visit towns such as Amboise. The cabins are clean and well looked after as are the grounds. The take away was great as was the entertainment. We really enjoyed it here and we will be back for a third visit.
If you are looking for an elaborate review, keep reading, we travelled for 2 months in France, staying at 7 different campsites. We camped here with a tent trailer, our 1,5 year old and our dog. We booked this campsite because family was staying here. What they do well:1. Service: all the staff and animation guys are really friendly and willing to help2. The facilities are clean and the toilet building is airconditioned3. They have a good size baby/kids bathWhat they can do better:1. The facilities are too small for the amount of people, the pool is packed, kids bumping in to you/each other constantly. It’s hard to find a single free sun bed..2. There are 4 washing machines, they wash cold even though set on 60 degrees and they say detergent is added automatically and included in the price of €7 🤯(all our other 6 campingsites asked 4-5€), but it sure doesn’t smell like that.. Because my clothes came out cold and still with stains, I got a refund, so again service is great!3. The regular pitches are like a car parking, no privacy, no shade, very small.. the more expensive spots seem to have a bit more trees and shade but are still very small.4. There is zero green between/aroud the pitches for kids to play, there is only one big playground next to the pool.5. If you are looking for a common camping rule quiet between 22-7am, don’t go here. If you like music and other entertainment every night this is your place, the bands were quite good actually.6. Food, €5 for 6 chicken nuggets.. the fries are floppy, the burgers are not worth it either. Pizza was fine but expensive as well.7. There was an expected little thunderstorm after a day of 38 degrees.. the campsite went out of power for quite long.. something we we’re used to at a little campsite, but a big guy like this should be able to manage better..8. Even though it is clean, the showers are cold 6/7 evenings, again they can’t handle the amount of people. All in all, I would not recommend this campsite if you love big, natural camp spots with shade and safe free roaming of a young kid. If you like it packed, watching people and a lot of evening entertainment and a good animation team, this might be for you!
Touring pitches nice but the facilities are too small for a site of this size. The pool is no way big enough and life guards were asleep on the job with children coming down the slides whilst people were at the bottom.
We enjoyed: large shaded pitch (paid extra), giant candyfloss for kids, aquatic area had plenty of sunbeds and fairly good shade, attentive but friendly lifeguards, Fun inflatable waterslide, kids park, bakery offerings in the morning, talented musician/singers for evening entertainment, good food prepared well and served by friendly and helpful staff. Only stayed 2 nights, but kids loved it.
