Great stop over site in a character town. Field by the river is lovely, owners are really helpful. Small shop, bakery to order and a snack bar. plenty of toilets and showers albeit they are a little dated. We will come back and stay longer.

Great camp site, lovely grass pitches, sanitises good. Short walk into town lots to see & shops& coffee/bars.

This was my 1st visit in 7 years and i was so happy to be back, such a wonderful spot! Our family (my parents, siblings, cousins, granny, etc) have been coming to this site for 3-5 weeks every summer for 33 years (except during covid) and we all love it! Great for all ages. The people who work at the site are so nice and kind, they are brilliant and they all work very hard. The toilets, showers and cleaning facilities are always kept clean and the shower pressure/temperature are great. The site itself is always clear of any rubbish and is has a nice layout. Fantastic, safe place for kids to play and run about. It's very close to the centre of the town and within walking distance of many beautiful sights. The food available in the evening authentic site is top notch, really tasty and value for money. This is my favourite camp site since I was a child, today is our last day this summer but I am already excited to return next year please god.

Nice campsite with a very welcoming host. He showed us to the pitches and how they were marked out. We could choose our own place. There was plenty of choice as we arrived just on afternoon opening. The toilet and shower facilities were numerous and very clean. Plenty of hot water for showers, dishwashing and hand laundry. It's a short walk into the town centre where there is a good choice of shops, bars and eateries. A snack bar opens on a number of days on the campsite, see info at reception. The site is right on the river and the ducks and moorhens wander around grazing. Very peaceful and relaxing. However there is some road noise but it became background noise after a while. It didn't disturb my sleep.
