CAMPING L'AVENA

Medium camping for tents, no separate areas for tents and caravans. Little space - tents squeezed between trailers. 2 bathrooms for the whole camping + bungalows. Dear owners of the campsite, understand the problem with washing the bathrooms, because nowhere apart from your campsite it does not take 1.5 hours. Bathrooms and toilets are closed during this time !!! Twice a day around 10 a.m and then around 4 p.m. Regular campers without pardon build camps with trailer and tents there ... a massacre considering the lack of space. The only pluses are the beach, but you have to walk to it from 500 m and the restaurant on the campsite. There is a small shop, laundry, animations - only in French. Behind the fence, a local attraction in the evening come wild boars. To high prices for that palce and conditions.

I visited this campsite on mid of June on my motorcycle. I have been in many campsites across corsica and this one is in top 5. Here are the adventages:- Surroundings are nice and idyllic, no noise, 5 min to the beach which is not crowded.- A lot of trees and shade.- Pitches are covered by grass, no dirt no gravel, real landscape.- Showers and toilets are super clean.- There is big market which is comparable to a small Spar in terms of prices and selection.

The Avena Camping is located close to the end of the road from Bocca Albitrina to Tizzano. There are several mobile homes available and a good choice of can sites for campers and tents. Camp sites with shade are available but not a lot of. There's one washing house containing toilets, showers, sinks etc. The installations are simple, but very clean.and tidy. A small shop offers most important goods like baguette, sausage and wine. 😁 Fresh meat is ousted there as well. Staff is quite friendly. It takes approx. 10 minutes to walk to the beach. The beach is a smaller one but with nice sand and very nice spots for scuba diving. A playground is located at the campsite as well as a small soccer ground. The bar offers great pizzas and fish dishes. In the main season there's a programme for kids. The campsite is located very nice and is also a quiet spot. Nice place to stay.

Very nice landscape, wild environment. Quite disorganized on pitches distribution, allocation and sizes. Easy to find where/how to allocate a tent, very complicated for motorhomes. Only couple of pitches that can allocate motorhomes and not very easy access to them. Close to a very nice beach, 10 minutes walk.

Camping just opening for the new season. Empty, restaurant closed..
