For a city campground very nicely situated. By pedestrian bridge 10 minutes from the town square. Layout very beautiful, right on the waterfront, with nice, level compartments, separated by hedges. Some big trees for shade. There are water faucets on every second place. Electricity is close as well.Sanitary facility is deteriorating. It looks as if the owner has given up to overcome vandalism. Needs urgent repairs, No toilet paper, not even dispensers, no soap, broken dispensers. Lights are not operating. Overall appearance is shabby, cleanliness close to unagreeable. We choose to rent a wooden cabin. These are nice, made as tiny house lookalike. Unfortunately the door lock was broken, showed signs of forced entry. We showed this to manager. She apologized and immediately offered us another one. This one was very nice, but closer situated to the outside parking lot, beneath the beautiful pedestrian bridge. We recommend to stay away from that part of the campground, as it seems to be the before party meeting point of the local youth. Until one of clock at night cars poured in, shouting, loud door closing, honking and music. Pity, as the campground could do much better.
Sanitair old and dirty, no lights in evening or during the night. Campsite not cleaned regularly. Loud music from bar near the door Bridge next to the campsite. City is great though. Camping us cheap. Youngsters will really appreciate the fun in the city.
Brilliant, much nicer than the tarmac aire next door & being squeezed in tightly. Nice big pitches, plenty of shade, good facilities. One tip, don't trust the bread van! Our first morning it didn't arrive at all & the next two it was extremely late.
The site does look a bit tired but as it has rained constantly for weeks, it's too wet to cut the grass. There are a few hard standing pitches. It has everything you need inc washer and dryer with tokens from reception. . Right next to the river and the bridge that takes you into town. Great was being cut when we left.Came back 10 weeks later and site looks lovely. XYou can also rent oak bikes from reception.
An OK city camping. The spaces are big, and there's a good choice between sun and shade. It's pretty noisy, as the local lads race along the local road above the camping. The WC and showers are in need of an update, and could be cleaner
