CAMPING DOMAINE DE LA MOTTE

No idea what the camping is like here, we only went for lunch as nowhere in Signy, just down the road, was doing food! Most people we met were staying on site & appeared to be enjoying themselves, we walked around after we'd eaten & it certainly looked nice enough.If you can't eat in Signy, come here. Cordon Bleu it isn't, but it's as good fast food as you'll get anywhere & better than a lot. There's beer too, which is always a bonus!

Review for Gite 20 that we had booked on AirBnb.Upon arrival we noticed the following:-dirty terrace-filled ashtray-empty candle pot with water and more cigarette buns in-stove still had ashes inside and wasn’t cleaned-2 dirty glasses in the sink-leftover chips on the table-dirt still on the ground-dirty tiles in the bathroom-no instructions in the living room as mentioned on airbnb website.-dirty trash-binAlmost like it was never cleaned between us and the previous guests..However, it was weekend for us and we decided not to dramatize the situation and just to enjoy our weekend. No big deal.Also we didn’t find a number to report any issues. Until one of us found additional instructions on the back of the toilet door.. pretty strange location to put instructions but whatever.In the instructions it says you have to report any issues within 2 hours or you will be held accountable for any issues. Unfortunately already 4 hours had passed and we already cleaned everything anyway. So still no big deal for us..When we left, we followed the instructions on the backdoor of the toilet, we tried to use the vacuum cleaner but it wouldn’t work as it was filled up with disgusting residue from the precious 20 guests or something, don’t think it was ever emptied before. Still whatever, we empty it and start vacuuming.Finally we left the accommodation in a better condition than we received it.At this point we were still okay with everything but few minutes after we left we receive an insulting and threatening message from the owners ironically enough saying how dirty we are and disrespectful and demand an additional 150€ for cleaning they have to do.It was at this point that my mood went from satisfied to furious and outraged.To know: we were on a family weekend with my mother of 60 years old. In no 100 million years would she ever allow us to leave an accommodation in a state that was mentioned by the hosts.As outraged as i was i involved airbnb immediately and at this point i started to check all their reviews only to notice that there are others they are trying to scam this way as well.Once airbnb was involved they dropped their claim of 150 euro’s immediately, so even more of a red flag on that part.Never coming here again. If you do want to take the risk. Make sure to check the backdoor of the toilet ?? and report every single thing you see and this within 2hours!To end on a positive note, only the location is a plus.

Love this camping! This time we tried the tent pitches, not disappointed! Made a reservation online on a Friday and stayed for 2 nights. Lovely place, I can’t get enough!We are coming back definitely!!!!!

We stayed at chalet nr. 34 and booked through Airbnb. Great clean chalet. Nice campingsite in the middle of a forest close to 2 lakes where you can swim in 1 of them. We didn't use any of the onsite.

When arriving from Belgium, it is better to take the route via Brognon and Signy-le-Petit. Otherwise Google maps will propose a shortcut via woods and forest trail where you risk to damage your car (unless you have an SUV).Location of the camping is nice, with some playground for small children.
