I’ll start with the good.. the place is lovely, the site is kept clean and pitches are fairly well maintained. The town this is located in is picturesque with a river flowing behind the site and a large lake/marina just a short 5 minute walk away!Sadly, this was tainted by the very rude and obnoxious site manager. There is a rule which states you are not able to leave the site after 8pm via your car.. when we arrived at the site before 8pm there were no spaces in the car park (poorly maintained filed).. as we were not allowed to then leave we had no option but to park the car next to our camp (completely off the pitch and out the way of the path to be mindful to others). We were leaving early morning so didn’t think this would matter and the site manager was no where to be seen so couldn’t ask for assistance. Whilst trying to fall asleep at 11pm. He rudely came up to our tent and shouted at us for having a car on the pitch stating it was against the rules. No care for our explanation what so ever and just started walking off muttering in French. Sadly this has stained our experience and we would not recommend this site to anyone looking for a friendly atmosphere.. and it happened on the last night. Such a shame to be let down.

As walkers, we arrived unannounced. They did everything they could to find us a place, unbelievably friendly and helpful. In French, Dutch and English. The campsite full of French, Belgian, English and Dutch families, is green and situated next to the river, 2 minutes walk from the boulangerie and cafe. There’s a beach at the lake 10 minutes walk away. There’s lots to do for children with a kid’s corner, climbing frames and activities. Parents can hire electric bikes and canoes.

Loved this campsite, and the man at reception was also very nice! I wonder if the campsite is in new ownership? A serene setting with lots of amenities close by. Also dog friendly.

Amazingly quiet and beautiful place. We stayed in one of the apartments for 3 nights with super comfortable mattresses, lots of space, and all amenities to make our stay enjoyable. Everything was really clean. The owner spoke French, English, Dutch, and some German which makes it easier for foreigners. The kayak ride down the river that ends at the property, which also has a campground, is a must do! It was not difficult but really beautiful through the trees. A bicycle ride around the lake with the rental bikes was a fun activity too. We will definitely come here again and plan to stay longer.
