Latest reviews for CAMPING LES RIVES DU LAC - L'ÉPINE AUX MOINES
Basic campsite - bring your own toilet paper! Good location opposite the lake where there are a couple of places to eat (pizza is good), mini golf, bike rental, pedalos, etc.
Second time here, as we visited last year and thoroughly enjoyed it - we could not wait to return!Geographically the site is hard to beat for beach, water, cycling and nature lovers. We have a kayak and access to the lake is easy and direct.Good facilities on the site, clean and plentiful. Great reception staff, managed to deal with my poor French as they all spoke excellent English. Bread delivered in the morning if ordered the day before. Lad with a van, selling locally produced wines, olives and stuff like that came every day we were there and the wine was fairly priced.Great site and again, we will be back in the future. Can't comment on the rooms as never used them, so gave 5 stars - sorry but didn't want to mark down.
Great little campsite , lovley staff , clean new facilities, and local wine will definitely stay stay again when passing
Great campsite, location spot on for the huge lake, great for kids and adults alike who like being on the water. Campsite facilities are a little dated, some of the water points around the campsite weren’t working. Our original pitch was muddy, small and on a bit of a slope, but we asked if we could move to a better pitch and was told it would be fine. Local produce was available a couple of evenings when local folks set up a couple of stalls for fruit, veg and wine. The town of Troyes is well worth a visit as well with the medieval buildings, really good vibe about the place.
Great location near the banks of the Lac Petit Orient. Excellent walking and cycling routes and not far from some pretty French villages. Staff were very friendly and spoke great English. Decent Pizzas and Chips available to order from reception as well as breakfast pastries. On a negative side, the pitches are not all level and got waterlogged in the rain. The toilet and shower facilities were possibly the worst I've ever encountered. No loo roll, no toilet seats, mouldy shower cubicles, no hot water. Easily resolved but for now it's not up to standard.
