Latest reviews for CAMPING DE L'ILL
The best thing about this campsite is it's proximity to Colmar. The old town is really nice to wander around on the daytime and eat out at night. The site is ok, perfectly adequate for a couple of nights stop-over. Facilities are fine, no complaints, but it's a stop-over and not a destination as such.
The location to Colmar is perfect you can walk it or take the bus which stops outside the camp. Large LEclerc just over the river. The campsite itself. Facilities poor as far as chemical waste as only one. Showers and toilets often smelt of urine but were clean moat of the time showers hot. The whole place needs the services of a groundsman . The site as a whole needs a good spruce up,especially the steps leading up to the middle facilities block was very overgrown with nettles, not great for kids. Soap by toilets often ran out and no hand drying facilities. Pitches don't drain well and lead to flooding.
We stayed 2 days as travelling through and this was a great campsite. Firstly friendly helpful staff at reception, hot showers and clean amenities. Location to old town which was a 20 min walk. Shorter by bike but we chose to walk. Campsite set next to a river, grounds are lush and green with beautiful trees. Nice laundry with newer washer/dryers.Thanks it was a great stay
This site is in a good location for visiting Colmar and the surrounding area. The price is reasonable, facilities all you need and kept nice and clean, staff very pleasant and helpful. The bus to Colmar stops really close by. It’s a frequent service and tickets can be bought at the campsite reception.
Friendly receptionist. Fairly clean. Approximately 40 min walk to city centre with interesting buildings, rivers and variety of shops cafes and restaurants. Pitches muddy and grass not cut. Right on the river bank. Bakery goods can be ordered. Nearby motorway noisy at night. This is a city camp site so noise to be expected.
