+ nice staff+ amazing view of Lac du Der+ spacious camping lots with private water supply & electricity+ delicious food at the restaurant+ bike rental+ small shop- water temperature in the public showers (cold)
Lacking in cleanliness and some facilities. Listed as a 4 star site, but with only one tap for drinking water, and an incredibly slow one at that, for a lot of pitches is really inadequate. There is a point blue camping car service point, as well, but that's 2€ to use EVEN IF YOU ARE STAYING ON THE SITE!! Toilets not cleaned well, I shared a urinal with the same dead dragonfly for 3 days. My wife said that the ladies smelt of urine. The showers are good though. Pool was good but not pleasant to use as there was a children's holiday group there with poor supervision. Would we go back? Never.
We spent a week in a mobilhome in the beginning of September. It is a nice campsite at a very pretty location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was tasty. The pool is indoors which is handy with changing weather conditions. There is a beautiful small beach and a playground nearby. It was perfect for our 2 your old daughter. Keep in mind that in the off season not all activities in the area are open on weekdays.
Beautiful location next to the lake. We got a tent space. It was a bit small and not a lot of nature on the spot but the camping had all the amenities needed and everything was close by.
A site of two descriptions! We arrived on a Saturday in early August. They were fully booked and had not responded to emails or phone calls. However they found a pitch for our motorhome. The site has good resources, a pleasant cafe/restaurant overlooking the lake, and clean sanitary facilities with free showers. Hot too. However this site does attract some folk who like to party late into the night. We got to sleep at 3.30 am on the first night! Some fellow campers don’t seem to follow conventional campsite etiquette! However the next night was very quiet. The party crowd had left! As other reviewers have reported, don’t go here on Friday and Saturday nights. The cycle round the lake was relatively easy and well worth doing.
