Little green paradise! We spent a 4-day stay there last May, my wife and I in a B&B and our 3 teenagers camping. The house is in a private natural area, surrounded by nature and quiet. The owners are friendly. Our room was clean and cozy, the bathroom is on the same level as the bedroom, very close (I specify this because this point (bathroom outside the bedroom) made us hesitate to choose this guest house , in fact it did not present any particular inconvenience), the children had their tent at the edge of the pond where the view was splendid. Part of the site is maintained like a park, the other part is deliberately left wild, as the owner explained when he presented the place to us. Other significant little extras: there is private parking (which is not a detail when you have a trailer ;-)), and a very practical covered terrace for continuing discussions with family or simply daydreaming. We loved this place, especially don't change anything; we will come back with pleasure. :-)
Delicious meal (table d'hote) and received very kindly by the hostess and host. The mini campsite is simple and very quietly located, in the middle of nature. Maybe a little too quiet?
The place has guest rooms and a small campsite. The review will focus on the campsite since this is the one we tested. We are big fans of calm and nature. For that, everything comes together. Very few locations (6 indicated on the website, obviously around ten in reality... do they exceed the quota of 6 when there is demand? I don't know...). The setting is a green setting, with its pond, a river, shaded or sunny pitches. The location was perfect for us.Until....we discovered the bathrooms. In this sentence the plural is too much. HUGE FLAT on this campsite. A single toilet, a single shower and a single sink... and be careful, all three in the same room. Deduction: if you have a pressing urge but someone is in the shower, pray that they won't last long, or consider buying diapers on the next errands... If you want to go brush yourself teeth, pray very hard that whoever passed before you in this unique room, did not go there to file for bankruptcy.... What could be more unpleasant... If not for the time we were there, it It was clean, that's it. We were alone in this campsite at the start of our vacation, so no problem with the sanitary facilities, 1 other person arrived the next day (that's fine), another couple the day after and then we realized that there was no It didn't take much for it to get complicated. Indeed, 2 days later, 2 additional couples came to swell the squad, and there it was no longer the same as you can imagine. The pitches are equipped with electrical terminals from another age. As for the water supplies on each location, they are indeed present but out of order. We don't tell you about it, you notice it yourself when you turn the tap... and when you meet the owner of the place and you tell her about the malfunction... she responds nonchalantly that they have a leak on the installation for quite a while and they don't want to look for where it is (the customer that I am greatly appreciated this very commercial response). Bottom line: as soon as you need water, you have to go back to the main house to get it. Super practical and what a waste of time again. So obviously, if the prices applied were equivalent to those that can be found camping on a farm (which are equipped with several toilets and showers), it would still work. Except that there, in the middle of the pampas (because there is absolutely nothing around... town, tourist site (20 km minimum), supply point (10 km), etc...) charge for 2 people, a pitch with electricity 20€/day means paying a lot for the green space. After speaking with other campers, they too admitted to us that they were doubtful and taken by surprise at the sight of THIS UNIQUE SANITARY. Who expects that?? Person ! What a pity !Camping in this natural place was very refreshing, but this big downside spoils the picture quite a bit. So we packed up earlier than planned.
The owners are friendly, the site is surrounded by nature (there is a pond, a river, a wood, and small clearings), it is a wild nature which is maintained in a reasoned and respectful manner. To get there, some advice: use GPS or Google map, another important point: for your shopping (affordable food and souvenir gifts) in my opinion, the most "practical" town nearby is Chaumont. To conclude on this guest house, those who want calm, nature and kindness, this is the place to choose without hesitation.
Nice welcome.Comfortable room.Great setting.
