Latest reviews for CAMPING DU CHATEAU
We found the site through ACSI and knew nothing about how it operated. Once we’d signed in and settled on our pitch, it was peaceful, friendly and clearly well organised. It was strange there being no reception and no apparent customer support, but the stay was a success for us, and we’ll jump at the chance to go to another similar site.
A good camping site close to the highway. Very simple and straightforward, with very clean bathrooms (which actually have toilet paper!). Camping de Chateau is situated very close to a small village with a bakery, convenience store etc. The landscape around the site is amazing to explore, especially by bike. The camping site also hosts a small snack bar, convenient for all your fast food cravings. The closest pizza place is about 2 kilometres away. All in all a good place to stay, if a bit uneventful. It even has (a tad bit slow) WiFi!
Easy access and perfect for overnight stop. Grass pitches, very clean toilets and showers. Snack bar on site in the evenings (cash only). Also good if you want explore the area.
I stayed here just a couple of days before they closed for winter. It seemed I was basically the only person camping there! Which was a bit scary but not their fault. It had all the basic facilities you need and it’s clean. I only stayed one night, you are basically camping up on the castle site overlooking the village. You can walk down into town, there is a pharmacy and cafe, but not a lot going on. Reception was friendly and helpful. Thank you
Tiny site, NO access to river as advertised, stifling as closed in with trees, mixed loos.
