Latest reviews for CAMPING DE CHÂLONS-EN-CHAMPAGNE
One of the best campsites I stayed at.The staff is very friendly, clean amenities and good electricity. But the best part is the price.I've been to 2-star campsites that charged a ridiculous amount, but these people are very bike touring friendly. I payed 25 euros for two nights for a tent pitch, including electricity. When I asked why is it so cheap compared to other campsites, they said that they understand how hard it is for cyclists who travel around the country and need a place to sleep.Kudos! I truly recommend this place!
This site was my first camp site experience in France and I cannot fault it. The site atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. The staff we met were pleasant and were easy to understand. The showers were lovely and warm. Please note: showers in France are going to be different to UK. Prepare accordingly and you'll have a great shower. The surrounding area is lovely, the near by supermarket and mcdonalds is fabulous.
This campsite has good sized level pitches with excellent shade. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, however, the facilities are 40+ years old and whilst the basics have been cleaned in the Ladies, the Gents stank of urine. The site was very busy when we stopped one night on a pre tunnel crossing. The site is inexpensive however at £16/night including electric. This is our second stay and we are likely to stay again.
Arrived just before closing without a booking, but no problem. Guys seemed keen to shut up shop and I was asked to choose my own spot and pay the next morning which we did. Trusting. Good stop over place. Perfectly adequate facilities. Not all pitches have electricity (mine did not).
We found it difficult to get to, due to lack of signage i.e. every second or third junction did not have a sign. Reception was very good and lady was efficient. pitch good. Unfortunately this was a stopover for us and we could go back as the area is appealing.
