Latest reviews for CAMPING LE NID VERT
Nice rustic camping ideal for your bouldering trips. It's a bit outside the main fontainbleau climbing areas but there are a few nearby like padôle and beauvais. Unfortunately the climbing area s next to the camping are closed due to the hunting lobby around the village. Let's hope that gets resolved soon. Often when the other more popular campings are fully booked or noisy you can find a nice and quiet spot here. Toilets are clean showers warm facilities in general are nice.
Le Nid Vert is a well maintained campsite with clean toilets, washrooms and ample space for tent-camping as well as caravanning, while the "gérant" is friendly and forthcoming. This campsite is well placed for a visit to the annual Air Show at La Ferté Alais, but there is also a train connection from La Ferté Alais to Paris
Except for a couple of wasps at day 1 of my 4 day stay I am super satisfied with the campsite (You have to expect wasps this time of year near campsites anyway).Sanitairy is clean. Plenty of showers and toilets. Showers are free to use. Spacious stalls for both showers and toilets. Water temperature is adjustable to your liking. All of the sanitairy also has wheelchair accessible options.Camping spots are also quite spacious. Some are separated by hedges, others are on open grass. Electricity is always close by, as are water taps.Conveniently placed trees allow you to pick a spot in the shadow for certain times of day, some spots even all day.Wifi is available but not included. May be recommendable to check out signal strenght on the camping spot before deciding to pay for it.A huge intermarche is a 10-15 minute drive away, but there are also some smaller local Epiceries (Bakery with some general items as well) close by.On a 25 minute drive North you can find Evry, which is part of Paris' public transport area. It's handy to go there by car and then take the public transport deeper into Paris, if you wish to visit Paris during your stay here.A 30 minute drive South-East-east will bring you to Fountainebleau; a huge forest in an area with medium hills and spread out rock formations (Awesome for parkour and Bouldering). The paths take you to pretty sights, but going off trail is definitely recommended if you wish to get to the best views. The owneress does speak English to a certain degree, don't expect full on conversations. A slight understanding of some general campsite related vocabulary in French can be useful, as it is on any French camping.
Quiet place. Wc and showers are very clean. Places surrounded by hedges. Electricity and washing machine. Only 60 km far from Paris. Camping car, electricity and 3 adults for about 24 € per day.
We had a nice stay, people are very friendly and the showers are really hot.
