Latest reviews for CAMPING SANDAYA CÔTE DE NACRE
Pitch - easy electric access; plenty of space and privacy and well shaded from sunPool - kids enjoyed slides. Water cool but maybe would have been more manageable if weather better. Some dangerous behaviour on slides needs more closely managed by staff.Customer service - poor, from check in to check out; seemed uninterested. Just an observation; I could be wrong but certainly compared to previous services I have used not very welcoming.Location - Local shop handy. Beach within a short cycle. On site activities great - high ropes and climbing but prepare to wait a long time in line.Food - Average. Very busy.
ProsYhe shop was well stockedThe location was goodStaff pleasantMarket on siteExcellent mini discoConsWas very, very expensive per night - double what we've payed elsewhere for a poor standardPitch was smaller than other sandaya sites and everyone was really packed in, with little to no hedging between our site and neighboursThe swimming pool was terribly cold - in july. And I sea swim in Scotland. It was too cold for Small kids and my daughter became exceedingly cold very fast. Couldn't warm her up in shower after as there weren't enough. No water connection on siteOther patrons were really challenging. We had dangerous behaviour in the pool, so many kids on e-scooters and bikes that weren't being watched and behaving dangerously to smaller kidsShower block was new but could have been kept cleaner. If it had been half the price, we might have been quite happy but not for premium rates. Just not as good as other Sandaya sites we've been to.
We went there and booked a Bungalow in 06/2023. The bungalow was not very old (I think 3-4 years). Our experience of the park was favorable. The atmosphere was good for both kids and adults. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. A small problem with the BBQ got fixed in a few hours. The upkeep of the park in general, I would say we had no complaints.
Pool closed at 7. It was the whole reason we had booked. We came from the ferry as quickly as we could. No warning that it would close shortly when we booked in. Food very poor and restaurant and bar understaffed. Felt like the site was being run by poorly trained summer hires.
Both showers not working on arrival. After 2 days still not fixed. Swimming pool has many rules, like shorts, while the shop is closed where you could buy them. Very bad experience overall
