Latest reviews for FLOWER CAMPING LE HAUT DICK
We had a lovely stay. It was the last site on our tour of France. The site is nice and quiet with a good bar. It is well kept with good showers and toilets. We walked into the local town for food which was nice. Lots of WW2 history is close by, we visited some local museums and the UK D Day memorial which was beautiful.
Great staff, very helpful, but this site could do a lot better, not really suited for a motorhomes. Freshwater fill is attached to chemical toilet dump. Showers are timed at 6 minutes with only one shower working on the new block nearest the canal. The rest are closed, the water is cold and after 5 minutes is only warm. Again no hot water for washing up. There is only one freshwater tap on the canal side of camp, which takes several minutes to fill a kettle.Lots of tents.
Excellent camp site. We didn't stay here as we were on the Aire de camping car next door. They allowed us the use the washing machines. The camp site is very clean, as is the toilet block and showers. The staff were very helpful. We sampled their coffee at the bar and it was excellent. The best coffee we have had this holiday. Next time we are in the area we will probably use this camp site.
My wife and I stayed as a stop over for 1 night whilst travelling. Quite a good little site 5 minutes cycle ride from the town which I found to be beautiful enriched in military history. There's also a number of good surrounding cycle / walking routes. Reception staff were helpful and provided information on local attractions. My pitch 84 was narrow , sloping , located between trees and very shaded, which I suppose is fine if you have ramps etc. My motorhome did struggle with the pitch as it is 8. 5m long. Anything longer than 8.5m I would detail on your booking requiring adequate access. The site benefits from an indoor pool , play areas, restaurant & laundry which has 1 washing machine and tumbledryer. Unfortunately the WiFi is non existent. Sanitary areas are clean, however, on arrival you'll pay 10 euros deposit for a fob which gives you 2 x 6 minute showers per person at a set temperature which is fine if you're a bald guy like me 😊This was a 1 night accomodation review and comparing it to other sites I would recommend it. Personally for me it's 4 stars.
This campsite is very well run and clean , the family that manages it looked after me like I was in a 5 star hotel nothing was too much trouble. I was very well looked after. It has a nice bar restaurant swimming pool what else could you want . If there was one thing I’d change it would be the closing of the site gate to10.30 / 11.00 pm it’s closed to make site secure.
