A great campsite with lovely service. Facilities cleaned regularly, large shower block and toilets. Spacious pitch with electric. Water is available close by. Two parks for children, great pool - short walk from pitch. It was lovely to be able to order croissants and baguettes the day before and collect every morning. We liked it so much, we booked an additional night. There is a good bike route which is flat and follows the river all the way to Mont St Michel. Market on a Wednesday in the local town of Pontorson - lots of different stalls. Large supermarket nearby, it had everything we needed.
Great location for visiting Mt St Michel - esp by bike. Lovely flat , riverside cycle, directly from site - takes about 40 minutes. The site itself is well laid out, generous pitches, a lovely heated swimming pool - which, during our visit, I had to myself. Lots of great facilities for children. The shower block was immaculate - great showers! - and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked in for 2 nights but stayed an extra night as we enjoyed it so much. Pontorson is a pleasant little town with a good few bars and restaurants. We ate in a lovely little Crêperie at the bottom of the Main Street - and it was excellent.
A very nice and varied campsite. From basic pitches right through to pitches with a private toilet and shower, although lacking in a mains water connection which would make them perfect. Mains hook up is also blue plug and 16a. From a personal point of view the only down side is no restaurant or takeaway on site, but a pizza van on Sunday & Monday and burger Tuesday with sausage on Wednesday does help. The pitches are all well sized and the site has access to the walk along the river. Six miles to Mt. St. Michael and 500 metres to Pontorson, which does have quite a few restaurants.
Great campsite in an excellent location with superb facilities. Let down slightly by the snowflakes who try to police the place by clamping down on any noise after 10pm. It was a bit too quiet for us and a bit too stiff in some respects which we thought was a shame. Fresh bread and croissants are fabulous
This campsite is a large, very professional run campsite. Pitch size ok, excellent sanitary facilities, bar and restaurant on the property, large pool, electricity throughout. Rather pricey. Right behind the property is a beautiful bicycle path leading directly to Mt St Michel. Pontorson itself is ok, it was the home base of Bertrand du Guesclin, but little of its history is preserved.
