This was our first visit here and we will definitely come back. Such a peaceful, well maintained, small site with a lovely lake and big pitches. Not adult only but mostly adult clients and very quiet and relaxed. Graham was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The facilities were kept clean and there was plenty of hot water. We didn’t use the bar and restaurant this time but great to have the option and the pizzas were really popular. An easy 3 mile walk to a supermarket and lovely little town, Remalard. We highly recommend.

We booked for three nights and stayed for seven. That's how great the campsite is.The site -If you're looking for peace and quiet in beautiful lakeside setting Forest View has exactly that. The pitches are huge with high hedges ensuring privacy. There are plenty of open grass areas and a feeling of space. Stroll around the lake in the afternoon and you will likely see some huge carp basking in the sun.Fishing -I don't fish but, chatting to those that do, it seems that there is a variety of species. Carp have been caught up to 45lb.Bar and restaurant -Check the website for what is served and when. We ate pizza and a plat du jour - both were excellent. The bar was open from 18:00 and has indoor and outdoor areas. There are several regular visitors that stay at the site each year and they were extremely friendly, fun and helpful. A nice ambience. The owner -Graham took over the site this year. He is really keen that guests have a great time. Friendly, helpful and always willing to stop for a chat. Thank you Graham for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely return.

This is a beautiful and peaceful campsite with a lovely friend owner who is interested in all his guests! The facilities are clean and up to date, there is a sitting room/ bar for wet days and camping spots are huge! Graham, the new owner, has good plans to make it even better, and while we were there ( two families with two teenagers each) he hosted a bbq and invited all his guests at no cost ( excepting drinks/ the bar), with a.fun ( and not too long) quiz/namegame afterwards. We had a great time and strongly recommend it! Nice villages nearby and beautiful countryside for rambling abd cycling. We even had a day trip to Paris- an hous drive to maintenon followed by a 45 minute train trip and we were at the Eiffel Tower !

Peaceful, welcoming, beautiful location, homely, scenic, relaxing, fantastic fishing lake, amazing food…I could go on & on! It’s hard to describe how refreshing a stay at Forest View is, you really do need to experience it for yourself. Sarah and Peter are a wonderful couple who are basically welcoming you into there home. That’s exactly how it feels…like we are all friends camping in their back garden! The Plat du Jour is a must (Sarah’s cooking is amazing!) and is a great opportunity to get to know the other campers and we can also recommend booking in for the Pizza nights too as they are equally as delicious! Peter’s fishing lake is a tranquil place to sit and relax with your own thoughts or a good book, and catching a beautiful Carp is a bonus. We had quite a few out of the lake during our stay including a 42lb Mirror and a few Common, but the pesky Grass Carp avoided us! That’s okay though as we will be back for him next year and I cannot wait to be sat back at the lake! If you prefer more of an adventure out, there are also walking trails and cycles routes available. Thank you Peter & Sarah for another wonderful stay. Thank you to our fellow campers too who made our stay even more enjoyable. Fantastic group of lovely people. Cannot wait to see you all in 2024! God Bless xXx* HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *

We stayed here for four nights in August and I wish we had booked for longer!! But alas we had somewhere else to be. Anyway, what a wonderful tranquil place to camp with our two teenage boys. So much space, beautiful site and surroundings, clean facilities, quiet (which my boys prefer) and friendly. Peter and Sara are the most wonderful hosts, they've done this place proud. Plate du jour was a lovely and I highly recommend this, also their pizzas!CLose to some lovely villages and countryside. Easy to get to the train station for a great day out in Paris. What a perfect place!!
