CAMPING DE LA MINIÈRE

Lovely site, with large pitches. Ideal for access to the town and the Musee de resistance. Also easy walk to the lakes and Casino. In fact various walks, as the old railway line is now a footpath, also a long cycleway.Site has all facilities , very clean , but hot water in wash basins and washing up not hot, just warmish . There is however a hot water tap on outside wall of facilities . Showers hot , but on our visit a cold wind was blowing, which blows into wash area.The site offers static homes and a couple of tents to rent. Also at end of driveway to gate where you get to footpath to town , is an enclosure of a couple of goats and chicken.Ideal stop for short journey to Port or Train at Calais region. Or indeed a stop off, before exploring more of France st beginning of holidays .

Basic 2-star rated campsite, fine for an overnight stop. Friendly owner spoke excellent Engish. Very limited facilities on site, only absolute essentials in shop and no fresh bread or milk. No pool although there are petanque areas and a small play area suitable for younger children. Town nearby is very pretty and an easy walk from campsite with lots of shops and restaurants. Toilet block clean with unisex toilets and separate fe/male showers - be sure to take your own toilet roll and handwash as neither are provided!

We should arrive at 8.30pm, but we've got a call that we aren't welcome after 7pm. Even with the knowledge that we are traveling for 8h and need to travel 9h more to be home with kid and pet. No refund. NOT acceptable!!

Quite basic, small amount of produce at reception. Only one water source. Sanitary facilities could be better. Friendly owner.

Excellent campsite, walking distance from the town centre. Spacious pitches and clean facilities. All good.
