Latest reviews for CAMPING CARAVANING DU LAC
We stayed at Caravaning du lac back in March for 4 nights 15th to 19th. On arrival we thought the site was shut however a quick chat with a site user who called the owner soon resolved our concerns and we were on our pitch and set up. The site deals predominately with static vans but there are some pitches for touring caravans which were of a good size and enough space to not feel claustrophobic. As it was still early in the year the sauna and associated toilets and shower block were not open however, the block that was, was clean and adequate. The owner was very friendly and helpful and whilst his English is not so good, nor is our French, despite this we each managed to get over what we needed to. This is not a grand site and folk who like to criticize everything will not like this site. We liked it a lot,it was clean, tidy and felt safe. The people we met were friendly and ready to engage in conversation where possible. The location was perfect for what we wanted and we would have no hesitation in recommending this site to our friends either as a one night stop over or to stay as we did for a long weekend. When we get another chance we shall be back to do some more sight seeing and walks along the miles of sandy beaches.
Nice and quiet camping near Dunqirke. Staff ist nice and friendly, pitches are we'll kept and spacious. Facilities are the downside, they are a little run down, and not really clean, you have to bring your own tp.
Quiet, secure site. Friendly owner. A bit out the way for walking anywhere. Good size pitch. Mostly statics on site. Good for overnight stop from Dunkirk.
The hosts were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. It is a bit of a squeeze with a large caravan, but the site is quiet and we'll maintained.
Great camping to relax with modest wellnessWe arrived here last minute because we arrived oer autostop/hitch hiking the owners are very sweet and have the cutest daughter , we did phone ahead.Warm welcome, a lot of hospitality. We used the sauna on day which was very nice and relaxing. It's included in the price you just gotta buy a shower coin. The camping place is quiet big for a tent. There is almost no noise and there is a bus to the beach. The timetable is however hard to figure out. There is hot running water available for doing the dishes which is great. Loved the place rely gave us the holiday feeling.
