Latest reviews for CAMPING LES ALOUETTES
This campsite is really run down, with unisex facilities that aren't clean. Real sense of unease at this site. A lot of the staff seem to live here. Cars revving late on into the night. I nearly left at night. Would not recommend.
Stayed here for the rugby world cup & relied on public transport to get to Lille.Apart from getting a taxi the easiest route we found was cycling to the St Philbert metro station(20 mins),leaving the bikes in the excellent secure storage at the station & getting the metro into the centre(15 mins) & 5 euros for a day ticket. The site itself is good with adequate facilities but not much within walking distance.
A bit pricey given the facilities. We paid €30 / night in August 2019 for a tent, 2 adults and 2 children. There were 3 working showers for both men and women and common toilets. No hot water on tap. The facilities were kept clean at all times. The camping places were adequate. Not sure if it was happening often, but some nights the French neighbours could be quite noisy, drinking and listening to loud music way past midnight. It was an easy 20 minutes drive into Lille and that was convenient.
Lovely campsite on the French country side. Close to Lille and the village with bakery & supermarket. Within 10 minutes by car to metro station which will bring you to the center of Lille. Friendly owners, bring you to your camp spot. Part of the camping are residential caravans. Compared to last year the camping is improving, renovation of parking, camping plots and more modern residential caravans. Showers en toilets are basic but clean. Unfortunately the showers were, like last year, quite cold, only the shower for handicapped is warm. You need bring your own toilet paper . Hopefully the temperature of the showers will be improved in the future. May come again within a few weeks for a weekend. Best campsite for visiting Lille.
Helpful people, nice pitches, plenty of facilities. We had a great stay (THANKYOU)A mature campsite with hedges between the good sized pitches. Makes a great stop over for Calais. We found it quite being in the middle of farm land.(Its 8 minutes from the motorway)Reception were really helpful to us, and spoke a little English (thank you again)
