Municipal Campsite
Located in the Avesnois, the Camping du Lac Vauban welcomes you in a green setting bordered by forest and water where fauna and flora thrive. As its name suggests, this 4-star municipal campsite is located in the heart of the fortified city of Quesnoy. A classified historical site, history and architecture enthusiasts can admire the ramparts and fortifications at the foot of the campsite.
It offers you 15 hectares of wooded land with beautiful pitches for your tent, caravan, and motorhomes. It is also possible to rent comfortable mobile homes for 4 or 6 people, with 2 to 3 bedrooms, fully equipped with terrace. You will also find mobile homes adapted for people with reduced mobility (PMR). It also offers residential pitches where you can install your own mobile home.
The entertainment is diverse and varied to meet the desires and expectations of everyone. Pleasing children, teenagers, parents, and retirees is the primary objective of this campsite, in order to offer you a wonderful vacation! That's why they constantly offer numerous activities to discover the region, to flourish, to relax, but above all to have fun!
Every afternoon, the kids' club organizes activities for the little ones. While your teenagers can participate in other activities organized for them. Not to mention, the games room with table football, table tennis, billiards, the multi-sports and beach volleyball courts, all available free of charge. Whatever the age, everyone will find something to enjoy thanks to numerous group activities. In the evening, other free activities take over (giant karaoke, themed evenings, movies, lotteries, dance meals, artist evenings, belote competitions) and many more...
Near the campsite, there is a lake and its leisure base where you can swim, pedal boat, enjoy inflatable games on water and land, or simply take romantic boat rides. A skatepark and tennis courts are also available. Enjoy the enchanting setting of this beautiful region for beautiful bike rides, walks, or even horseback riding... Go hiking in the heart of the Mormal forest, just a few minutes away. As for the 4 ponds bordering the campsite, they will delight fishing enthusiasts!
In terms of services, this campsite offers you quality services and facilities. Moreover, the town of Quesnoy has around 200 shops necessary for your stay. Enough to delight your taste buds with its restaurants, local products, and craft breweries in the surroundings.

Lively campsite with lots of facilities on-site and nearby, just outside a fascinating walled town. Would have been perfect if we had not been kept awake by a noisy group nearby shouting and singing loudly until almost 2am.

A hop, skip and short walk to the fortified city from the camp site. We love municipal sites, a warm welcome from helpful staff and very reasonable prices, including the bar.

A great campsite with super facilities, a bar and close to the old city walls. Really good children’s playground and small free farm just a walk away. The right price too! Loved it!

Unplanned stopover. The town has an interesting history and well worth exploring. Lovely walks nearby too. Campsite has a lot of permanent mobile homes and relaxed camping area. Very friendly welcome, unfortunately the toilet and shower block were very poor and smelled awful. Cleaned with a cold hose pipe and nothing else. Such a shame as it could be so much better.

2 people with motorcycle, think we hit it at the wrong time, its not the sites fault or maybe it is, the place is full of children (summer camps maybe) toilet block shows lack of maintenance (cleaning etc) it could just be that the children are left to run free very little supervision from adults.Other than that the rest of the site is fine and well enough kept, we pulled in not booked in and not only is it cheap we were told just pitch anywhere we want, WIFI is charged per hour and there are restaurants near by which couldn't fault the food or service from the one we went to.
