Latest reviews for CAMPING DE LA TRYE
Really beautiful very, clean campsite with great facilities and accommodation. Our son really enjoyed the go carts and playing in the swimming pool and the water slide, the pony rides were a highlight for our daughter and all at a good price.Very enjoyable stay and the hosts were excellent and operate the campsite very well. Thank you for a great stay.
Lovely campsite. Clean & tidy toilet block, loo roll provides. Snacks on site. Covered pool.Big drawback is that there is no Quiet Time. Vehicles moving all through the night. Children playing until after 11pm.There are no requests by the sites owners to show consideration by not making a noise after 10pm.So great if you want a quick getaway in the morning, hopeless if you want a good night's sleep.Over night vans are all parked adjacent to the children's play area & gate & toilet block. It maybe quieter if you can get a spot further away.It was going to be on my must go back list but not so sure.Great restaurants and Boulangeries in the town.
Good camping over all, but I have one pet peeve: all the bloody signs. There is an unbelievable amount of signs and placards. All amount to the fact that it is the guests fault something isn't right, be it the pool water quality, not seperating garbage etc. A tip from me with some experience in User Experience design: make the signs unnecessary where possible: you're not allowed to close a window? Make sure you need a key for that. Guests need to close the door? The camping can install one of those door closer arms.As for all the other ones:- Remove the outdated ones, like the old covid signs and the signs about a bread service that was only available in july and august.- Only hang ONE well made sign with logos and normal language without underlining and three exclamation marks at the place where it is necessary in all languages (the notice about water quality was very important according to you, but only in French.Normally I wouldn't complain about this, but the signs are really annoying, like there is a primary school teacher whining at you at every corner.
We only stayed here for one night with a tent and campervan. We loved the site. There was plenty for our 3 year old and 2 teenagers to do. There is a limited selection of food available on site but it was cooked fresh and was delicious. The camping site was very peaceful and picturesque. Flowers everywhere.
We have just left the site as our first stop on a 4 week trip. The site is well looked after and clean. The showers are great with loads of hot water. It was just the right distance from the Channel Tunnel as we had driven overnight and crossed in the morning. Recommend.
