CAMPING LES ARAUCARIAS

A lovely campsite, slightly out of the way but well worth stopping at. We hadn't booked but were made very welcome, the owners are very nice. We were in a motorhome and the pitch was fairly level. A lovely walk into Carlepont where there was a country fayre and we were made most welcome. the toilets and showers are for both sexes but it wasn't a problem as the site was quiet. I'd definitely go there again.

Cyclo-hikers we spend the night at the very green Camping des Araucarias in Carlepont. After a very pretty 84 km stage but in stifling heat, we fully appreciate the freshness of the magnificent century-old trees. On the advice of the campsite owner, we called on Pizza les 2 Vallées for on-site delivery. We received an excellent telephone reception and a top delivery service. The pizzas were excellent.
